00:00 Scarlett Johansson has had it with AI,
00:02 and she's finally suing for using her name and likeness
00:05 in an online advertisement without permission.
00:07 The actress appeared, or was rather generated,
00:10 in an ad posted to X by an AI image-generating app,
00:14 Lisa AI, 90s yearbook and avatar.
00:17 The ad begins using a real clip of Johansson.
00:20 - What's up, guys?
00:21 It's Scarlett, and I want you to come with me
00:23 to the premiere of "Black Widow."
00:25 - And then it transitions into AI-generated photos
00:28 that resemble the actress.
00:29 - The fake version of her voice then continues speaking,
00:32 saying, "It's not limited to avatars only.
00:35 You can also create images with text
00:36 and even your AI videos.
00:38 I think you shouldn't miss it."
00:40 The fine print on the ad reads,
00:41 "Images produced by Lisa AI.
00:43 It has nothing to do with this person."
00:45 Her attorney, Kevin Yorn, said,
00:47 "We do not take these things lightly.
00:49 Per our usual course of action in these circumstances,
00:52 we will deal with it with all legal remedies
00:54 that we will have."
00:55 This all happens after Tom Hanks recently spoke out
00:58 and warned his audience that there was a dental ad campaign
01:01 using an AI version of the Forrest Gump star
01:03 to promote their product without his consent.
