00:00They say that Filipinos are known for being happy.

00:07No matter how hard the journey is, a smile will not be lost.

00:13But what is it that makes Filipinos happy?

00:16That is what we asked the online fans.

00:20Many answered, money.

00:24Others said, drop some money in music.

00:36We listen and we don't judge because a netizen said,

00:40you can do a lot as long as you have money.

00:43And another said, using money will ensure the future of his child.

00:49For many, aside from money, family is what makes them happy.

00:54For others, being with loved ones, peace of mind, good health, and faith.

01:03Aside from that, making a netizen happy is what a job as a headteacher is all about.

01:09But how many Filipinos are there to be happy if compared to other countries?

01:15Based on the World Happiness Report 2025,

01:18there are 57 Filipinos in the survey.

01:22Finland is the first in eight years.

01:26This report uses the level of income, health, freedom of choice,

01:33goodwill, no corruption, and social support for each other

01:39to discuss the national happiness of a country.

01:43Based on the survey, residents from different countries were asked,

01:48from 1 to 10, what grade would you give to the quality of your life?

01:54Finland averaged a score of 7.74 in the last three years.

02:01They have lots of resources, GDP, and especially they share it very equally.

02:07They exhibit healthy lifestyles, healthy behaviors, resulting in healthy life expectancy,

02:14and a healthcare system which is mostly universal and free.

02:19And then, importantly, social support.

02:22So they trust each other, both others in the community around them, but also the institutions.

02:28Caring and sharing is the theme of this year's survey.

02:32It also looked at the effect of sharing in a person's happiness.

02:37It's a good thing to put a spotlight on places like Costa Rica and Mexico.

02:41They do not necessarily have the high income, GDP per capita,

02:45and the redistribution through the welfare state.

02:48What they do have, and this is also something we focused in on this year,

02:51is they have a very strong family set of family ties,

02:56so their immediate community is very strong.
