00:00Ten suspects in the sale of signal jammer and SIM cards can be used in various scamming activities such as phishing and smishing.

00:09The PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group was involved in the operation. Ryan Desigues is in the center of the news.

00:15Ten individuals were jailed after the next two operations of the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group were completed at 6.50 p.m.

00:27The first was the entrapment operation in Pasig City against the seller of signal jammer.

00:33In the said operation, eight authorities were arrested, including Filipinos, after they made a transaction with the police.

00:41The suspect's modus was seen because of the PNP ACG's cyber-patrolling.

00:47More than 20 antennas of the signal jamming device were detected during the operation.

00:52The signal jamming device was being sold from P15,000 to P52,000.

00:58Last night, another entrapment operation was completed against the seller of SIM card modem pool in Muntinlupa.

01:07Two authorities were arrested.

01:10The SIM card modem pool is a device with many SIM card slots that can contain various SIM cards and can be used simultaneously.

01:18According to ACG Director of Police Brigadier General Bernard Young, it can be used in various types of scams such as mass SMS phishing or smishing.

01:28Fake call centers of phishing, OTP interception and account takeover and SIM rotation.

01:35It can also be used in money laundering.

01:38It can be used to text blast and send various links so that our unsuspecting countrymen can click on the link

01:52and can provide details and information relating to their identity and their bank accounts.
