00:00I started crying 30 seconds after meeting her.

00:03Someone had tied her to a fence somewhere in Brooklyn,

00:06and the police brought her into the shelter.

00:08She was still kind of lactating when she got into the shelter.

00:12My rescue dog passed away in March of 2024,

00:15and I knew I needed to pay it forward and rescue another dog.

00:18As soon as I met her about 30 seconds in, I started crying,

00:21and I was like, she is my dog.

00:24Annie's personality is goofy.

00:26The bed became Annie's pretty much from the moment that she got over.

00:31She's comfortable.

00:32She loves my boyfriend, who is now her boyfriend.

00:37Anywhere he is, she crawls on top of him, plops down.

00:40They are so cute, especially when they lay on the bed together.

00:43Like, if Eric goes and sits on the couch, Annie will come sit on the couch.

00:47If Eric goes and lays on the bed,

00:48Annie will go from napping on the couch to napping on the bed with him.

00:53I do think Eric is Annie's favorite person.

00:56At night, when it's time to go to sleep,

00:58Eric will pick her up and carry her to bed.

01:00She will follow him anywhere.

01:02She loves him.

01:06I actually don't think she had any applications before ours

01:09because she was in the shelter for three months

01:12and then in a foster home for two months.

01:15Her health was not great, obviously, when she came into the shelter.

01:19She had just given birth to babies, so her stomach was really enlarged.

01:23Look at that tail.

01:25She was still lactating,

01:26indicating that she had literally been nursing

01:28up until the point that they tied her to the fence.

01:32Annie has such a sweet, soft demeanor, especially indoors,

01:36and she loves being comfortable.

01:40We've seen Annie's confidence grow so much.

01:45Annie is not independent at all.

01:47She's very much a Velcro dog, would follow him anywhere.

01:50She loves playing with other dogs.

01:52She also loves sunbathing.

01:55I always say that she's solar powered,

01:57and she will stay in the sun until she is roasted like a rotisserie chicken,

02:02about to pass out from heat exhaustion,

02:04and then I have to take her out of the sun.

02:05Annie is always safe with us for the entirety of her life.

02:11She brightens up every day.

02:12The best part of having Annie is when you get home,

02:15she is so excited to see you,

02:18and it is impossible not to fall in love with something

02:20that is that excited to see you at all times.
