00:00We're less than two weeks away now from the August 2nd big tariff deadline.
00:05Has the President spoken with his Canadian counterpart, Prime Minister Barr?
00:09Not to my knowledge. I don't believe he has.
00:11But I can check in with the President and get you a firm answer on that.
00:14But my understanding is they haven't spoken.
00:16And the President has been very clear about his intention for April 2nd.
00:20It's going to be a big day for our country.
00:22I would encourage all of you to be here to cover the White House that day on April 2nd
00:26because there will be big announcements when it comes to reciprocal trade.
00:29And the President will be highlighting the unfair trade practices,
00:33the ways in which America has been ripped off by every country around the world, quite frankly.
00:38And there will be big tariffs that will be going into effect,
00:42and the President will be announcing those himself.
00:44The European Union had a decision yesterday against Apple and Google.
00:48Are you familiar with that? Is there anything the President...
00:50Is that a response to the April 2nd tariffs?
00:52I think we've seen a lot of movement actually around the world
00:55of countries who are lessening their tariffs.
00:58I know the EU also paused their alleged tariff on whiskey.
01:03And so I think you're seeing countries are taking the President seriously.
01:07They understand that he is going to do what's right for American workers and families.
01:11And so the President and his team are in constant communication with our EU counterparts
01:16but also our counterparts around the world.
