00:08with leaders of the Education Ministry in Putrajaya on Thursday.
00:13The ministry said it will launch a pilot project for multi-storey schools in Putrajaya,
00:18Penang and Kuala Lumpur this year to tackle the overcrowding issue.
00:22It said the initiative was discussed during the meeting to reduce congestion,
00:27optimize resources and improve education accessibility.
00:31The ministry also said it will introduce technical and vocational education
00:36and training programs in five fully residential schools,
00:40as such programs have a 99% employability rate for graduates.
00:45The ministry said enrolment for STEM or science, technology, engineering and mathematics
00:51will be expanded across all types of schools.
00:54Anwar also urged the ministry to prioritize training for its teachers
00:59and recognize educators as key agents of change
01:02capable of transforming the education ecosystem.
