पांवटा साहिब ( हिमाचल प्रदेश ) - पीएम नरेंद्र मोदी के आत्मनिर्भर भारत के विजन को साकार करने में देश की महिलाएं भी महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभा रही हैं। हिमाचल प्रदेश के सिरमौर जिले के पांवटा साहिब विधानसभा क्षेत्र के मेरुवाला गांव में 12 स्वयं सहायता समूहों की 120 महिलाओं ने मिलकर इंटरलॉक टाइल प्रोजेक्ट शुरू किया, जिससे वे आज लाखों में कमाई कर रही हैं। समृद्धि ग्राम संगठन की प्रधान महेंदरो देवी, सचिव ललिता देवी, और मैनेजर रीना के नेतृत्व में महिलाओं ने टाइल निर्माण प्रोजेक्ट पर काम शुरू किया। इस प्रोजेक्ट को पूरा होने में दो साल का समय लगा लेकिन आज इसका सकारात्मक परिणाम दिखने लगा है। इंटरलॉक टाइल प्रोजेक्ट को शुरू करने में 15 से 17 लाख रुपए का खर्च आया। इस प्रोजेक्ट के लिए 2 लाख रुपए की वित्तीय सहायता DRDA सिरमौर द्वारा दी गई है और 5 लाख रुपए का लोन सीआईएफ फंड से लिया गया है। बाकी की राशि महिलाओं ने स्वयं सहायता समूह की इनकम और अपनी निजी बचत से जुटाई। महिलाओं ने इस प्रोजेक्ट के लिए विशेष ट्रेनिंग ली और उच्च तकनीक (हाईटेक) मशीनें मंगवाईं। उन्होंने कई कंपनियों से टाइअप किया और आधुनिक तकनीकों को सीखा ताकि बेहतरीन गुणवत्ता की टाइलें बनाई जा सकें।

01:51When we have to start a project, we get to know about the things that we have to work on.

04:30All the schemes come from the government and reach the women through the block.
04:36A labourer told us that they make around 2,500 tiles a day.
04:43He told us that the women also help him in his work.
04:48He said that he has just received the tender to give his tiles in 3 blocks.
04:54The process of making the block tiles is as follows.
