00:00Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has now spoken to U.S. President Donald Trump.
00:05So what was the outcome of this phone call?
00:07I think this call is quite important and that's a good sign, especially compared with the
00:13conflict three weeks ago between Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelensky.
00:17So it's a good sign because the U.S. and Ukraine, especially they are aligned together.
00:25According to President Trump, they say they are on track, trying to reach a ceasefire.
00:31So it's a good sign.
00:32That means they resumed the talks and they come back to cooperate together to work for
00:38another round of the talk.
00:40So I think definitely it's important, especially for the relation between the United States
00:44and also Ukraine.
00:45So that comes off the back of Trump pushing Russian President Vladimir Putin to agree
00:49to a ceasefire that was broken only hours later.
00:53What can we learn from this series of events?
00:55From President Donald Trump, it was very clear he's trying to convince Putin to go for a
01:01ceasefire, a total ceasefire agreement, but obviously Putin didn't really respond to a
01:08total ceasefire.
01:09Ultimately, he just kind of doing a favor to President Trump for temporarily partial
01:18ceasefire.
01:19But then after several hours, he just broke the ceasefire.
01:23But actually from the Russian newspapers, you will see that they accused of Ukraine
01:27who broke the ceasefire, the partial ceasefire first.
01:31So it's not clear what Putin was trying to do, but it's obvious that he's playing tactics
01:39of his own game and his stance has never changed.
01:43He insists on several issues and he put actually more conditions if they are going to reach
01:51a ceasefire agreement.
01:53At this point, it feels like there's two different paths that the U.S. administration is walking
01:56down when talking to Russia and then when talking to Ukraine.
02:00Have we reached a point where we can begin to reconcile these two points and we see a
02:04clear goal that the U.S. administration is aiming for?
02:07From my personal point of view, the U.S. path and track is actually more aligned with Ukraine
02:15now and with Putin.
02:17Putin is just telling Donald Trump what he wants and he's firm on his stance.
02:24So he plays the tactics and basically from my points, Russia and the U.S., they are not
02:31really on the same track.
02:33But this time, we can see that the U.S. and Ukraine, they are back on the same track.
