00:08:36The assault was followed by an attack from the Fateh squad who surrounded the vehicles and opened fire on Pakistani soldiers
00:08:42Resulting in the deaths of 90 personnel in just the past week
00:08:46The BLA has launched four deadly attacks in the Pakistan army significantly escalating tensions and sending a clear message of defiance against Pakistan
00:09:03Pakistan has for long been a state sponsor of radical Islamist terror now
00:09:10Pakistan is at the receiving end
00:09:16On the 10th of March a passenger train Jaffer Express carrying 440 passengers
00:09:23mainly Pakistani military personnel from Balochistan's Quetta to Peshawar
00:09:29Was hijacked by the Baloch Liberation Army
00:09:33When the train reached Aavegam area, armed men stopped it near tunnel number 8 and hijacked it
00:09:41This after an armed attack which involved multiple large-scale explosions on the tracks
00:10:02The Baloch Liberation Army had claimed it executed 214 Pakistani military personnel after their 48-hour ultimatum expired

00:10:41And 33 BLA fighters were killed and that all hostages were safely rescued
00:11:02And one F.C. soldier of Ghazaband Scout embraced shahadat on the morning of 12th
00:11:32This is still unaccounted for if you just go by these numbers

00:27:53BJP leader Ram Kadam is joining me on the phone
00:27:55Line apologies
00:27:56Sir, what are your comments on
00:27:58what the Maharashtra Congress Chief has said
00:28:00He's likened Chief Minister Fadnavis
00:28:02with Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb
00:28:04saying he's just as cruel
00:28:05What are your thoughts?
00:28:07See, Congress
00:28:09Maharashtra President Mr. Satpal
00:28:12He's been trying to hog in limelight
00:28:14Nothing else
00:28:16Because he was also not aware that
00:28:18he'll become Chief of Maharashtra State
00:28:21as a party leader
00:28:23And all of a sudden his name was announced
00:28:26And after that
00:28:28he wanted to show his party
00:28:30that he's been criticizing Maharashtra Government
00:28:33And for that matter he's been
00:28:35just criticizing
00:28:37all the comments what he made
00:28:39the bestless comments
00:28:41Can he deny
00:28:42that under the leadership of our government
00:28:45we have been given
00:28:47lakhs of females
00:28:49under the Lajli Yojana
00:28:51we have been helping them
00:28:53every month we have been giving them money
00:28:55More than 15 lakh crore rupees
00:28:58when Honorable Chief Minister went to Daos
00:29:03under his leadership
00:29:05Lot of companies are going to come in Maharashtra State
00:29:08So he has nothing to say
00:29:11as far as the development is concerned
00:29:13or any other issues
00:29:15He does not have any other issues
00:29:17He's been trying to
00:29:19fish hog line net
00:29:20Nothing else
00:29:34No I could not get you
00:29:35Please tell me again
00:29:48Absolutely not
00:29:50See we have been saying
00:29:52from the beginning
00:29:54that we respect all the religion
00:29:56all the caste
00:29:58We are not differentiating anything
00:30:01And as far as our Hindu faith is concerned
00:30:03we stick with that
00:30:05It does not mean that we are hating other religion
00:30:08Nothing
00:30:10But nowadays the kind of politics
00:30:12Congress they wanted to do
00:30:14when they were in the
00:30:16Government in Maharashtra
00:30:18So they are trying to appease one of the religion
00:30:21That is for sure
00:30:22And his statement is because of that
00:30:24You may say
00:30:26because that impact
00:30:40Aurangzeb was a true ruler
00:30:42Aurangzeb
00:30:45Sata's father was put in jail
00:30:48Sata's elder brother-in-law
00:30:50was a scholar
00:30:52a secular scholar
00:30:54He was not killed
00:30:56Aurangzeb was not even touched
00:30:58and he was a cruel ruler
00:31:00he is still as cruel as Divendra Bhadani
00:31:03He has always taken the religion as his basis
00:31:06but he has been killed many times
00:31:09his writings are not safe
00:31:41The controversy has erupted over the Maharashtra Congress chief likening Devendra Fadnavis to
00:31:53Aurangzeb.
00:31:54My colleague Vidya is joining me on the phone line for more on this.
00:31:58Vidya, we just heard BJP MLA Ram Kadam's comments on what the Maharashtra Congress
00:32:03chief has said and he has said that what Congress is trying to do is appease to the Muslims.
00:32:09What can you tell us about that?
00:32:39The BJP is now being seen by the BJP as appeasement with reference to the appeasement of the
00:33:07Muslim community.
00:33:08That's one of the reasons why Ram Kadam has said what he has said.
00:33:12When it comes to this entire issue, Vidya, I'll be coming back to you for more on this.
00:33:17Atul Londe, Congress leader is joining me on the phone line.
00:33:20Sir, what are your thoughts on what the BJP is saying on the Maharashtra Congress chief's
00:33:25comments saying that Congress is trying, is appeasing to a certain sexualist society?
00:33:32I don't know what they understand from the statement of Maharashtra PCC when he compares
00:33:37Aurangzeb with Devendra Fadangri.
00:33:41It is the same thing happening in Maharashtra, everything is under suppression.
00:33:45Who is getting justice?
00:33:46Not even a single farmer is getting justice, they are not getting proper price for their
00:33:51crops.
00:33:52Farmers, they are not happy, agriculture sector is not doing well, manufacturing is not doing
00:33:59well and unemployment is rampant.
00:34:02Hello?
00:34:03Right sir, I can hear you.
00:34:09Unemployment is rampant and you know, we have seen shooting, firing on streets, in a police
00:34:15station.
00:34:16So, any example of PD is sufficient enough to explain what Congress PCC has said about
00:34:23him.
00:34:24Right sir, but how do you think it makes sense to liken the chief minister with Aurangzeb
00:34:29to set this example?
00:34:30Suppression.
00:34:32Suppression.
00:34:34Not justice.
00:34:35Right.
00:34:36And the BJP has also said that the Congress is not really, when they are comparing the
00:34:40chief minister to Aurangzeb, they are not really looking at the development that is
00:34:44taking place in Maharashtra, the infrastructure that has been built in Maharashtra.
00:34:48What are your comments on that?
00:34:50See, industries are going out of Maharashtra, unemployment is rampant, industrial production
00:34:58is down.
00:34:59Right sir.
00:35:00Alright, that was Congress leader Atul Londe on the phone line with us, saying that, basically
00:35:12speaking about the entire controversy about the Maharashtra Congress chief likening Devendra
00:35:16Fadnavis to Aurangzeb, where Maharashtra Congress chief has said that Fadnavis was a cruel ruler
00:35:21like Aurangzeb and he resorts to politics instead of working for the development of
00:35:27Maharashtra.
00:35:28Now the row over Aurangzeb's tomb in Maharashtra is intensifying.
00:35:39On the occasion of Chhatrapati Shivaji Jayanti in Maharashtra, the VHP and Bajrang Dal has
00:35:44announced a mega protest across Maharashtra and threatened to demolish Aurangzeb's tomb
00:35:50in Chhatrapati Shambhaji Nagar.
00:35:51The VHP pointed out that Aurangzeb killed lakhs of Hindus and forced them to pay Jizya
00:35:56tax during his tenure.
00:35:59They have also urged the Maharashtra government to ensure that Aurangzeb's tomb is removed
00:36:03from Maharashtra.
00:36:04The ruling party Shiv Sena also backed VHP's demands and claimed that it makes no sense
00:36:10in having Aurangzeb's tomb in Chhatrapati Shambhaji Nagar.
00:36:13Meanwhile the opposition lashed out at Mahayoti and asked them to focus instead on real issues
00:36:18like unemployment in the state.
00:36:45We have some more breaking news that's coming in.
00:37:12During Congress wades into the delimitation war, the Congress chief has said delimitation
00:37:16will be based on population and the VJP wants to reduce seats in the south.
00:37:20Kharge has said in north 30% more seats are being added and delimitation will be unfair
00:37:26to everyone.
00:37:31The Congress chief Malik Arjun Kharge has waded into the delimitation controversy saying
00:37:35that the exercise is based on population and it will be an injustice to the southern states
00:37:40as it would reduce their representation in the Lok Sabha and urge people to unite against
00:37:45this injustice.
00:37:48Kharge has said delimitation is based on population and it's being planned through which efforts
00:37:57are being made to reduce the number of parliamentary and legislative assembly seats in south India.
00:38:03He stated adding that northern states representation is expected to increase by 30%.
00:38:08He said that such reports are emerging and that we should wait and see if this happens
00:38:13it will be an injustice and that we must unite against this injustice is what the Congress
00:38:18chief has said.
00:38:19My colleague Sagai Raj is joining me on the phone line with more details.
00:38:22Sagai, we're looking at the comments that have been made by the Congress chief on delimitation
00:38:26saying that it will be fair to everyone further saying that in north 30% more seats will be
00:38:31added and that this will be unfair to the southern states.
00:38:35Give us more details.
00:38:37So what we learned yesterday while addressing the public rally in Ghatak district he went
00:38:42on to say that the Karnataka government which is contemplating to go ahead with the delimitation
00:38:47is planning to increase 30% more seats in north and there are also seats which will
00:38:54be reduced in southern part of India and he says that it's not right everybody should
00:39:01come forward and oppose this and we are trying to do that and there should be some kind of
00:39:05principle that the party has to follow and the BJP is not trying to do that.
00:39:09Right, thanks Sagai for bringing us those details on that story.

00:39:17Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin broke his silence over the issue and defended the
00:39:21state's decision to use the Tamil letter for ru in place of the official rupee symbol in
00:39:26its budget for 2025-26 pointing out that Nirmala Sitharaman herself had previously used the
00:39:31Tamil letter ru instead of ri in English.
00:39:34Stalin also stated that despite making hundreds of requests to the union finance minister
00:39:38for funds for salaries and education the state had received no response.
00:39:42He added that to demonstrate DMK's unwavering stance on the language issue he introduced
00:39:47the Tamil ru symbol.
00:39:48This comes after union finance minister Sitharaman lashed out at the DMK government's move saying
00:39:53it pointed to a dangerous mindset and promoted secessionist sentiments under the pretense
00:39:58of regional pride.
00:40:29The DMK government has made hundreds of requests to the union finance minister for funds for

00:50:06He said Rania hid gold all over her body.
00:50:09Yatnal says will expose all ministries involved.
00:50:12Now this is in the case where Rania Rao, an actor who was arrested by the Directorate

00:50:22authorities seized 14.2 kgs of foreign origin gold bars.
00:50:26And now BJP MLA has made certain sexist remarks on actor Rania Rao.
00:50:31His vile remarks include him saying Rania hid gold wherever she had holds and he further
00:50:36said that she hid gold all over her body.
00:50:39This has stoked a controversy and this is over actor Rania Rao smuggling gold from Dubai
00:50:45to Bengaluru.

00:52:43Rania Rao smuggled gold from Dubai to Karnataka.
00:52:55We have some breaking news coming in from Jammu and Kashmir.
00:52:58An encounter broke out between security forces and infiltrating terrorists in Kupwara.
00:53:02The encounter is currently underway with two to three terrorists believed to be trapped.
00:53:07Now an intense encounter is currently underway in Kupwara as security forces engage a terrorist
00:53:13in a fierce gun battle.
00:53:14A joint team of the Indian Army, Jammu and Kashmir police and the special operations
00:53:18group has launched a coordinated operation to eliminate the threat.
00:53:22Intelligence inputs confirm the presence of two to three terrorists who are believed to
00:53:26be trapped in the Kordon area.
00:53:28As security personnel closed in, the terrorists opened fire leading to a heavy exchange of
00:53:32gunfire.
00:53:33One police jawan has been injured during the operation is what we're learning and he is
00:53:38currently receiving medical attention.
00:53:40Authorities have sealed off the area and the additional reinforcements have been deployed
00:53:44to ensure a successful operation.
00:53:47Civilians are advised to stay indoors and avoid movement.
00:53:50The situation remains active and under closed monitoring.
00:53:53Now this is relating to an encounter that broke out between security forces and infiltrating
00:53:58terrorists in Kupwara and in the area two to three terrorists are believed to be trapped
00:54:02currently.
00:54:03Now the security forces engaged terrorists in a fierce gun battle and a joint team of
00:54:09the Indian Army, Jammu and Kashmir police and the special operations group has launched
00:54:14a coordinated operation to eliminate the threat.
00:54:17Intelligence inputs confirm the presence of two to three terrorists in the area.
00:54:21My colleague Ashraf Wani is joining me on the phone line with more details.
00:54:25Ashraf, we're learning of an encounter that's taking place in Kupwara at the moment and
00:54:29that two to three terrorists are believed to be trapped in the area.
00:54:32What more details can you give us on this?
00:54:34Yes, Chetna, the information we are getting from the security forces is that this encounter
00:54:39is currently going on in the Sachal Dara area, which is the densely forested area of the
00:54:45Handwara area in Kupwara district.
00:54:47This encounter took place in a habitat early in the morning when there was a specific input
00:54:52with the security forces that infiltrated group managed to reach into the Sachal Dara
00:54:59village.
00:55:00The area was surrounded and when security forces approached near the suspected spot,
00:55:05there was exchange of fire.
00:55:07In fact, heavy exchange of fire in which one police personnel got critically injured.
00:55:12He has been shifted to the hospital, army hospital in Kupwara and being treated here
00:55:16and the encounter is currently going on.
00:55:19As you said, there is the specific input about the presence of two to three militants.
00:55:24But one thing worth to mention here is that we have seen most of the infiltration took
00:55:33place on the LOC because the jihadis, particularly the terrorists, believe that it is the holy
00:55:39month and to do the terrorism is a holy job.
00:55:43That is why the security forces had been put already on high alert all along the line during
00:55:49the month of Ramadan.
00:55:51Thank you Ashraf for bringing us those details on that story.
00:55:54An encounter currently taking place in Kupwara with two to three terrorists in the hiding.
00:56:05The Baloch liberation army continues to target Pakistani army officials in a series of
00:56:10coordinated attacks.
00:56:11Pakistan army has suffered yet another deadly attack in the Naushki region of Balochistan
00:56:16as eight convoys of soldiers were ambushed by Balochistan liberation army fighters
00:56:20in a well-planned assault.
00:56:22Exclusive images accessed by India Today show the devastating aftermath of the rocket attack
00:56:27by the BLA's Majid Brigade which completely destroyed the Pakistani army buses.
00:56:31The assault was followed by an attack from the Fateh squad who surrounded the vehicles
00:56:35and opened fire on Pakistani soldiers resulting in the death of 90 personnel.
00:56:40In just the past week, the BLA has launched four deadly attacks on the Pakistan army,
00:56:45significantly escalating tensions and sending a clear message of defiance against Pakistan.
00:56:51Pakistan has for long been a state sponsor of radical Islamist terror.
00:57:02Now Pakistan is at the receiving end.
00:57:09On the 10th of March, a passenger train Jaffar Express carrying 440 passengers,
00:57:15mainly Pakistani military personnel from Balochistan's Quetta
00:57:20to Peshawar was hijacked by the Baloch liberation army.
00:57:28When the train reached Abegam area, armed men stopped it near tunnel number 8 and hijacked it.
00:57:36This after an armed attack which involved multiple large-scale explosions on the tracks.
00:57:45The Baloch liberation army had claimed it executed 214 Pakistani military personnel
00:58:11after their 48-hour ultimatum expired and the Pakistani army failed to reciprocate
00:58:18to BLA demands for a prisoners of war exchange.
00:58:24Meanwhile, the Pakistan army in a televised broadcast claimed that just 21 passengers
00:58:30and four security forces personnel and 33 BLA fighters were killed and that all hostages
00:58:38were safely rescued.
00:59:08Former top diplomat Abdul Basit has questioned the Pakistani narrative.
00:59:15Ambassador Basit says there's a serious flaw in the Pakistani figures and at least 80 hostages
00:59:24are still unaccounted for if you just go by these numbers.
01:00:09Ambassador Basit has exposed a major flaw in the Pakistani narrative. The situation on ground
01:00:23in Balochistan appears to be deteriorating. Political leaders in Balochistan have suggested
01:00:30that 60 percent of Pakistan's territory both in Balochistan and in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
01:00:39are no longer under Pakistan government's control.
01:01:00The Baloch fighters have waged a long and bloody struggle for independence against Islamabad.
01:01:11They may finally be making significant gains on ground. Bureau reports India today.
01:01:21My colleague Shivani Sharma is joining me in the broadcast with more details.
01:01:25Shivani, despite the death of 90 Pakistani personnel,
01:01:29it remains determined to thwart attempts at sabotaging peace,
01:01:32stability and progress. What more can you tell us?
01:01:37Kidnapped sea of Pakistan has been giving contradictory figures of its casualties since
01:01:42last one week where it has faced two deadly attacks in the hands of BLA. One, the Jaffar
01:01:48Express attack and the other one is the yesterday's convoy attack by the BLA where the BLA has already
01:01:55released the footage. It is showing how the vehicles have been gutted after the blast and it
01:02:00is also claiming that 90 soldiers of the Pakistani army have been killed in this attack while the
01:02:05Pakistani army has released a statement yesterday night that only three casualties have been faced
01:02:12by them and two civilians have lost their lives. So certainly there are contradictions in the way
01:02:17the Pakistani army is projecting these attacks while the BLA has been bringing out footage and
01:02:23showing the devastation it has been causing to the Pakistani soldiers, to the Pakistani forces
01:02:28after it has made a declaration of a decisive war against the Pakistani army and especially
01:02:36on Balochistan. So this is how we are perceiving this, that Pakistan is trying to save its face
01:02:42by showing the casualties quite lesser than they are actually on ground.
01:02:48Alright, thanks Shivani for bringing us those details on that story. Do stay with us,
01:02:51we have some more breaking news that's coming in. Let's take a look.

01:04:09A close aide of 2611 mastermind Hafiz Saeed, Lashkar-e-Taiba's chief operational commander
01:04:18Abu Qatal has been eliminated. He was shot by an unknown gunman in Jhelum city of Pakistan.
01:04:23Let's take a look. Pakistani terror establishment's deadly tryst with unknown gunmen continues.
01:04:39A close aide of 2611 mastermind Hafiz Saeed,
01:04:43Lashkar-e-Taiba's chief operational commander Abu Qatal has been eliminated.
01:04:51Abu Qatal aka Zia-ur-Rehman was travelling with his security guard in the Jhelum city
01:04:58around 7 pm on Saturday when unknown attackers opened fire.
01:05:03This is the latest instance of a top terrorist wanted by India falling to bullets of a mysterious attacker.
01:05:12Abu Qatal, a trusted aide of Lashkar-e-Taiba's chief Hafiz Saeed, had been recruiting
01:05:17L.E.T. terrorists to target civilians, especially Hindus in Jammu and Kashmir.
01:05:24He was the mastermind of the Riyasi bus attack.
01:05:27Abu Qatal had infiltrated India between 2002 and 2003. He was active in the Poonch-Rajori area.
01:05:37The National Investigation Agency also named Abu Qatal in its chart sheet
01:05:41for his involvement in many Jammu and Kashmir attacks.
01:05:46On May 5, 2023, he and his terror gang attacked nine para-special forces personnel
01:05:52resulting in multiple deaths.
01:05:54On June 9, 2024, he was the mastermind of the Riyasi bus attack, where nine pilgrims were killed
01:06:01after L.E.T. terrorists ambushed a bus heading to Shivkhori temple.
01:06:06On January 1, 2023, he was responsible for the targeted killing of seven civilians.
01:06:13On April 2023, in an encounter at Bhatta Dhuriyan, five security personnel were killed.
01:06:20He's had a very long career as a terrorist. He first came to India from Pakistan in 2002-2003
01:06:29and then chart-sheeted in 2023. So for 20 years, he operated in Jammu and Kashmir,
01:06:34and especially south of Pir Panjal. He's extremely close to Hafiz Mohammed Saeed
01:06:40and some records suggest that he was a member of the Poonch-Rajori gang.
01:06:45According to a dossier accessed exclusively by India Today,
01:06:49Abu Qatal was the key link between L.E.T. cadres and operators in Pakistan-occupied
01:06:55Jammu and Kashmir and Sindh province of Pakistan. He infiltrated Jammu in the early 2000s
01:07:02and was a key figure in the Jammu-Kashmir conflict.
01:07:06He was also a key figure in the Jammu-Kashmir conflict.
01:07:09and Sindh province of Pakistan. He infiltrated Jammu in the early 2000s and fled in 2005.
01:07:18Not just Abu Qatal, but several other terrorists in Pakistan
01:07:22have been mysteriously eliminated in recent times.
01:07:25With Arvind Ojha and Gaurav Sawant, Bureau Report, India Today.
01:07:55NASA on Sunday confirmed that the duo will return to Earth
01:07:58on Tuesday, March 18, evening GMT, which is 3.30 a.m. IST.
01:08:03NASA and SpaceX met on Sunday to assess weather and splashdown conditions off the Florida's coast
01:08:09for the return of the agency's Crew-9 mission from the International Space Station.
01:08:14Mission managers are targeting an earlier Crew-9 return
01:08:16opportunity based on favorable conditions forecasted for the evening.
01:08:21So, this is after 9 months that Sunita Williams spent in space.
01:08:25She will be touching down on Earth on Wednesday, 3.30 a.m. IST.
01:08:50All that they do for us, for human spaceflight, for our nation.
01:08:54And we're thankful that they're in the positions they're in.
01:08:57Our correspondent Shibu Kumar Tripathi is joining me on the phone line with more details.
01:09:01Shibu, we now have a definitive timeline for when Sunita Williams will be landing
01:09:05on Earth. Speak to us a little bit about the rehabilitation of Sunita Williams and the other
01:09:10astronauts who will be landing back on Earth after spending nine months in space. What that will be
01:09:15like?
01:09:46the final splashdown location and the final time.
01:09:50As far as we talk about the rehabilitation, we need to know that they have been in space for
01:09:53about nine months now, which is a huge, long duration space travel, which has its own kind
01:10:00of effect and toll on the body. First of all, they'll be going into a quarantine zone where
01:10:06they'll be kept alone. And they're not alone, actually, but they'll be kept in a quarantine
01:10:11safe zone where they'll be given time to recuperate. Rehabilitation will be a day-to-day
01:10:18process. They'll have to basically start from scratch because they haven't felt the effect
01:10:23of gravity in over nine months. And gravity will be a punishing effect. So this will take some
01:10:30time. It will take a few weeks to a few months to basically for the two astronauts to finally
01:10:37get back on. Right. Thanks, Shibu, for bringing us those details on that story. Let's also listen
01:10:41into what astronaut Sunita Williams had to say while in space. We're coming back before long. So,
01:10:47you know, don't make all those plans without me. We'll be back before too long. I can tell you
01:10:52at the outset, we have all of us have the utmost respect for Mr. Musk and obviously respect and
01:10:58admiration for our president of the United States, Donald Trump. We appreciate them. We appreciate
01:11:04all that they do for us, for human space flight, for our nation. And we're thankful that they are
01:11:09in the positions they're in. Imagine being stranded in space for almost 300 days. For Indian origin
01:11:15NASA astronaut Sunita Williams, that became a reality. From groundbreaking experiments to
01:11:19record-breaking spacewalks, her journey aboard the ISS has left an indelible mark on the future
01:11:24of space exploration. Here's a report. What would you do if you were stranded in space
01:11:39for almost 300 days? Imagine floating 400 kilometers above Earth, facing challenges
01:11:49you never thought possible. For Indian origin NASA astronaut Sunita Williams,
01:11:57the scenario became a reality. But what exactly has Sunita done in space during this extended time?
01:12:11From growing ledges in space to conducting groundbreaking experiments, Williams has been
01:12:17busy. As part of NASA's plant growth research, she helped study how plants thrive in space,
01:12:26focusing on how varying conditions impact plant growth. Williams also made history
01:12:32by breaking spacewalking records, spending over 62 hours outside the International Space Station.
01:12:38She also helped set up the Packed Bed Reactor Experiment,
01:12:43studying how to improve water recovery and heat management in space.
01:12:50The advancements could be crucial for long-term missions to the Moon, Mars and beyond.
01:12:57While it is a far cry from the space adventure we imagine, with over 900 hours of research and
01:13:04numerous record-breaking achievements, Williams' time in space has made history.
01:13:15Sunita Williams has not just survived in space, she has led vital research that will
01:13:21shape the future of space travel. Bureau report, India Today.
