00:21It is an amazing reality for thousands of Filipinos.
00:26Here is Carlito Amosco, a 78-year-old collector of small-town lottery bets
00:33from Barangay Pagbabangnan in Nulian, Eastern Samar.
00:37Now, his life has changed because of the No Hunger Program.
00:43After being chosen as the beneficiary of the No Hunger Program of the DSYBDD,
00:48Amosco's feelings changed.
00:52Within three years, this program will really help a lot in maintaining our food.
01:00Think about it, there are 25 kilos of rice, eggs, fruits, and vegetables.
01:07Rice alone is already a big help because, of course,
01:12you don't have to buy it anymore, so it's a big savings.
01:17Especially for us who don't even make a minimum income.
01:23I am really thankful for this program.
01:27Under the No Hunger Program,
01:30more than 7,000 poor families in Eastern Samar received a month's worth of food assistance
01:36worth P3,000.
01:39With the help of Electronic Benefit Transfer or EBT Card,
01:43the assistance can be spent on buying nutritious food such as rice, eggs, vegetables, and meat.
01:51It also has a guide on the correct spending to ensure a balanced nutrition.
01:57With the help of the No Hunger Program,
02:001,000 families in Eastern Samar have food to eat.
