00:20on CBS Mornings, the Harry Potter actor was directly asked if he used a prosthetic,
00:25though he initially attempted to dodge the question.
00:28Well, I'll tell you why. Because the best actress this year was Mikey Madison at the Oscars,
00:32and I don't see anybody discussing her Volvo, which was on television all the time.
00:35No, I'm not talking about Swedish cars, you know? So I think it's interesting that there's a double
00:39standard for men, but when women are naked, Margaret Qualley as well in The Substance,
00:42nobody would dream of talking to her.
00:44Now, Isaacs is walking back on his CBS Mornings comments.
00:47The internet was having fun with whether I was wearing a prosthetic in my nude scene,
00:51and so was I. But I wanted to avoid that being the only thing that I was ever asked about in
00:56connection with Mike's brilliant series. When so many people were insistent and seemed weird
01:01and inappropriate that what they were actually insisting on was that they and the public really
01:06needed to know whether they'd actually seen my real penis or not. So bizarre.
01:10He offered more, saying,
01:12The point I then wanted to make, but made badly, is that women have been exploited and exposed
01:17and treated wildly inappropriately on and off screen forever. And even then,
01:22I'd never witnessed any woman being grilled so specifically about their genitalia.
01:26I shouldn't have invoked any actresses or used the phrase
01:30double standard, which was just poor phrasing.
01:32He concluded by teasing,
01:34Either way, I'd say to anyone still bothered, please just enjoy the show.
01:38Literally, none of it's real, and there's bigger and better shocks coming.
