00:00The Philippine Statistics Authority or PSA said that the retail prices of goods in Metro Manila
00:05increased by 1.3 percent in February. A slower growth compared to 2.1 percent in the same month
00:12last year and 1.4 percent in January. Data showed that the main factor behind the slower price
00:19growth was the decline in mineral fuels, lubricants and related materials which dropped by 1.3 percent
00:26in February. A reverse from the 0.9 percent increase in January. The food index also grew
00:32at a slower pace with a 1.6 percent increase in February down from 1.8 percent the previous month.
00:39Meanwhile higher annual increases were recorded in the indices of beverages and tobacco at 3.9
00:45percent from 3.8 percent in the previous month. And crude minerals inedible except fuels at 0.8
00:53from 0.6 percent in January.
