00:00You mentioned the midfield a number of times this season. It's so key to whether any team is doing well or not so well.
00:11Is the midfield a key factor into where Spurs have really suffered this season in terms of their confidence, their decision-making?
00:19And then maybe, Ange, not getting it right with who's playing there?
00:24Yes, the midfield is the biggest problem in the side, in my opinion.
00:27We lack anybody with any composure in that midfield. Lucas Bervalli's B has been absolutely terrific.
00:33I'd exclude him and I'd exclude Archie Gray as well, who's never actually got the chance, barring that sort of first 60, 70 minutes against Fulham, to actually play in his rightful position.
00:42In terms of the future, the future looks pretty bright in that engine room.
00:46But this season, that's been a huge, huge problem.
00:49I think you could blame the players for that in terms of the way they get after the ball, the presses all over the place at the minute.
00:56Also, the tactics as well. The inverted full-backs are pushed so high up the pitch.
01:01One ball through the midfield, it just takes out everybody.
01:05Highlighted none better than when Kerkes ran 70 yards unchallenged against Bournemouth.
01:11I mean, he put in a great cross, fantastic goal.
01:13But nonetheless, the midfield, Porro's out of position, one ball over the top and they're in.
01:18And that's been the problem all season long.
01:21We lack anybody with a bit of composure in there.
01:24You know, when Angebal first started going, we had Bissouma in there at the heart for that first 10-game run when he first came in.
01:30And we looked really, really solid. He was sat right in front of that back floor.
01:33He could take those tight passes.
01:35But, you know, the wheels have just fallen off completely.
01:38And, you know, huge gaping gaps in the midfield puts pressure on the two central defenders who are having to cover so much ground because the full-backs are so high up the pitch.
01:46And that goes back to the manager, not changing.
01:49You know, if it clicks like it did for that third goal against RZ, you know, it's fantastic.
01:54But the times it's clicked this season have been few and far between.
01:57And, you know, the rest of it's just been pretty, pretty sorry.
01:59I mean, the away performances, you know, up until the Fulham game, we hadn't lost by more than one goal, barring the Liverpool debacle at home.
02:08But, you know, we just haven't turned up in so many games and we don't look like scoring.
02:13We just wilt.
02:14We just are almost waiting for the opposition to capitalise.
02:18You know, we make silly mistakes at the back.
02:20And, you know, it's just a holy mess at the moment, unfortunately, for Spurs fans.
02:25And it's been a pretty desperate, diabolical season.
