00:00Hey, I'm Rachel Zegler, and this is my 10-minute beauty routine.
00:07This is my first product, and it's like a plumping spray from Emma Hardy.
00:11My makeup artist, Niall Monteith Mann, on the set of Snow White, used to use this on me every day.
00:16So I like to give myself a little spray of that first thing in the morning.
00:22It smells really good. If I could just go through the day with just this,
00:26I do. That's when I jump in with my Milk Jelly Primer,
00:31which is kind of my favorite makeup product, because of the hydro grip.
00:36And when you're doing a Broadway show eight times a week, you need to protect your skin,
00:40but you also need to make sure that your foundation and your concealer stays on.
00:44So I really like to go in with this before I do any of my base.
00:51And sometimes I'll do this after a nice moisturizer or a serum,
00:55depending on how my skin is feeling that day.
00:58But definitely when you're doing as physical of a Broadway show as I have done,
01:02it's very, very important to be able to keep that makeup on for what is possibly a three-hour stretch.
01:08So then I go in with my Dior Forever Skin Glow Foundation.
01:12I use shade 2.5N.
01:15This is just my favorite foundation to use because you can layer it,
01:20depending on how much coverage you need or want.
01:22I go in with a little foundation brush.
01:25Dab it on my skin.
01:26And because I don't really like too much coverage, if I can get away with it,
01:30I only put a light layer on.
01:32And that is covering all of my problem areas,
01:34which is mostly my chin and my forehead whenever I have breakouts,
01:39whether that has to do with my period or whatever's going on.
01:43And I just like to put a healthy amount, but not too much,
01:47because I really don't like a heavy feeling on my skin.
01:52And yeah.
01:53On Broadway, it is very standard for performers to do their own makeup.
01:58So I did my own makeup eight times a week.
02:01The blue eyeliner was crazy.
02:03I had silver eyeshadow.
02:05That was crazy.
02:06I had to figure out methods of getting the blue eyeliner off
02:10because I would wake up on my day off and have blue flecks all over my face still.
02:16So it's a very intense process.
02:19There's a real intense skincare regimen that had to happen
02:22in order to make sure that I didn't have crazy breakouts.
02:26So then I go in with concealer.
02:28I use the Dior Skin Correct Forever Foundation Concealer.
02:32This is in shade 2N,
02:34because I like to do something just a little bit lighter to brighten under the eyes.
02:37I don't like to put too much on.
02:39I learned this from Peter Phillips.
02:41I go in on my problem areas.
02:43Right now, I have a spot here and I have a lovely little spot here.
02:46And then sometimes I like to go in just for a little brightening effect
02:50on my nose and on the bridge here on my lip.
02:57And then I go in with a brush.
02:59Go in with your brushes.
03:01And then I just dab it.
03:04I don't like to swipe because I feel like you lose a lot of product when you do that.
03:08So I just like to dab and then make sure
03:11that it's blended out as much as I can get it to do so.
03:16You see, those spots kind of don't bother me too much.
03:20Sometimes if I'm feeling spicy, we like to do a little hard line
03:24because then I don't have to use as much eyeshadow either
03:27because it just kind of gives a very natural effect that it's already shadowed.
03:30I admittedly don't do my makeup every day.
03:35But, you know, right now we're in a season of doing Press for Snow White
03:39and doing a lot of meetings, a lot of shoots, a lot of fittings,
03:42things that are getting photographed.
03:44The reality of my life has changed a bit ever since the release
03:47of The Hunger Games, where I get recognized a lot more like on the subway.
03:51And I just prefer to look ready to have my photo taken.
03:56OK, so usually next I go in with my contour.
03:59This is my very dirty, as you can see.
04:02This is my NARS.
04:04This is in shade Laguna 04.
04:08And I don't wear too much contour.
04:11I don't need too much contour.
04:13I don't think anybody really needs too much contour.
04:15And then I like to go pretty high on the cheekbone
04:19because it makes it a little bit more drastic
04:21if you're looking for a little bit more of the emphasis on your cheekbones.
04:25I was gifted very good cheekbones from God,
04:29which is something I thank him for constantly.
04:33When I was a kid, I used to manifest having cheekbones and dimples
04:36and I got them both.
04:37So keep manifesting, ladies.
04:40I like to put some on my forehead.
04:43And then sometimes I put just a little bit on the sides of my nose.
04:46The TikTok girlies are going to love this.
04:49I was using it first, but this is the Dior blush.
04:52This is Rosy Glow in 001 Pink.
04:57It's much brighter than I usually tend to go for,
05:00but I do think it's one of those where
05:04a little goes a long way.
05:06And I like to put it right on the cheekbone.
05:08I don't like to highlight my skin.
05:10I don't really want to be too shiny ever.
05:14So the blush is kind of my highlight,
05:17and I kind of like to put it right over where my contour was
05:21so that there's a clear distinction between the two.
05:24And then I like to put a little bit
05:28on the tip of my nose just to kind of keep everything together.
05:31Sometimes I do a little bit on the forehead, a little bit on the chin.
05:33And if I'm not going to do too much eyeshadow, which I don't plan to do today,
05:37I'll put a little bit here.
05:38So after I finish my blush, I like to go in with a little bit of eyeshadow.
05:43This is the Tarte Tartelette in Bloom palette.
05:45I like a bunch of browns,
05:49shimmery browns, but I tend to like to go in
05:54with a very like peachy shade on my actual eyelid.
05:59So I kind of tend to go in with a little flat brush
06:03and just kind of put that on very lightly
06:08just to give a very, very clean look.
06:12And then I go in with a little bit of a fluffy brush
06:15and go either in Jet Setter or Smarty Pants
06:21and tap it off.
06:23And then that just kind of goes
06:26right here in my crease,
06:28gives it just a little bit of dimension, a little bit of shadow,
06:31nothing too crazy.
06:33And then I like to flare it out just a little bit.
06:38And that's really it for my eyeshadow.
06:39This is my NYX brow pencil.
06:42What shade am I?
06:43I'm usually, I mean, it's in shade Espresso.
06:46Very Sabrina.
06:47This is one that I used for Romeo and Juliet.
06:51And I just I have very thick brows.
06:53I have not gotten my eyebrows done since 2021.
06:57I like to keep them as thick as possible.
07:00And then I just kind of will clean them up
07:03every so often on my own,
07:06whether that's with like a little facial razor or with some tweezers.
07:09I just kind of go in on them.
07:11But I like to just fill them in a little bit with a thin pencil.
07:16And then I take the eyebrow brush that's on there.
07:22Down to the last couple of steps,
07:25I like to take my eyelash curler
07:28and I like to just do a quick on the very, very edge of my lashes.
07:32I have very long lashes, but I have naturally very straight hair.
07:35So they kind of go out straight and it's very hard to get them to curl
07:41naturally.
07:42And then I go in with the Charlotte Tilbury Exaggerized Volume Mascara.
07:46This is also waterproof.
07:48There have been moments doing the Broadway show where I did a tragedy
07:53and I had to cry a lot and this never came off.
07:55For Snow White, I was in the chair for an hour and 50 minutes every morning.
08:01It was pretty quick, especially because like I feel like Gal Gadot
08:05was in for like three hours every morning.
08:08And then especially if she was doing the old hag, changeover was four hours.
08:13So it was a really, really intense hair and makeup for her.
08:17I think the most intense part of mine was making sure that the hair was perfect.
08:23And so that was both on set and in the chair every morning
08:26was just a very intense hair routine.
08:29But for reshoots, I had a wig because I had moved on to other projects
08:34and I couldn't cut my hair again.
08:36So that was a pretty intense experience.
08:39But those wigs were amazing.
08:41Shout out Sam, who built those wigs.
08:42It was really, really amazing.
08:43And obviously Niall, who did my hair and makeup was just ace.
08:47And Nadia Stacey, who designed it, who's also an Oscar winner for Poor Things.
08:50My final-ish step before I set
08:54is the Makeup Forever lip pencil in Anywhere Caffeine.
08:59This is shade 600.
09:01I don't line my whole lip.
09:02I like to kind of get rid of my cupid's bow a little bit.
09:05I like to go over it so that it's more round.
09:08And I like to overline the tiniest bit.
09:10Whenever I'm getting my makeup professionally done, I ask that they overline
09:14just because I like the way it looks.
09:16And I do that on the bottom as well.
09:21Go in the corners.
09:25There we go.
09:26And then I'm going to go in in shade Remix with this gloss
09:32that has a nice pinky, nude-ish tone to it.
09:40It's kind of my favorite lip combo is to have like a little, like a brownish
09:44mauve-type color, and then something brighter and redder on the inside.
09:50And I love a gloss look.
09:52And then my final step, I go in with this Milk Makeup Grip Set and Refresh Spray,
10:00which I will either use as a setting spray like I am right now.
10:05Just do a couple of spritzes and let it dry.
10:08Or if I am touching up, I will use a setting spray.
10:13If I am touching up my makeup, I will spray it a bit closer to my face
10:17and go in with my brushes and just kind of, you know,
10:20refresh what's under my eyes, what's around my eyes.
10:24That's my whole routine.
10:30Thank you so much for watching.
10:32Till next time, allure.
10:33I'm Rachel Zegler.
10:34Bye.
