Following a massive Russian attack on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, former President Donald Trump was asked about the status of peace negotiations in the Russia-Ukraine war. Speaking from the Oval Office, Trump stated, “I don’t know that they want to settle. If they don’t want to settle, we’re out of there.” He also warned that the ongoing conflict could escalate into “World War 3 if we don’t get it settled.”
In a post on Truth Social, Trump revealed he is “strongly considering” imposing sanctions and tariffs “until a ceasefire and final peace agreement is reached.”
The overnight attack saw Russia launch 67 missiles and 194 drones, targeting Ukraine’s energy and gas infrastructure. According to reports, at least 10 people were injured, including a child.
