00:00Hey, welcome to the set of Billboard. We're here at the album Ya Tu Sabes Que Nos Somos with J Balvin.
00:14Hello my people, I'm J Balvin.
00:16Let's go.
00:22Ready, and roll cam, action.
00:26We both get along well. We have chemistry.
00:31We write music really fast.
00:35It was really easy to connect.
00:38He talked to me on Instagram.
00:40We met here in New York at a studio.
00:42I was with my producer, he was with the studio.
00:45The chemistry was good, and the song came out really fast.
01:01What's up my people, I'm J Balvin.
01:03A big hug from the city of New York, La Gran Manzana.
01:05Recording the video with Floyd Menor.
01:07Chile, Colombia, Medallo de las Casas, Latino Gang.
01:11Let's go.
01:16The song came out in a very natural way.
01:19We wrote the song, we sent it to him.
01:23We had in mind the sound, what he does.
01:27In fact, it was here in New York that we recorded it.
01:30We sent it to him, and he loved it.
01:33How are you?
01:35What's up?
01:36Good to see you.
01:38How's everything?
01:39Super.
01:40How's the studio?
01:41He came to the studio, we recorded together.
01:44It was very cool, because it wasn't just sending him the song.
01:46We had the opportunity to share it.
02:13For this album, we're trying to tie a storyline from the beginning all the way to the end.
02:18So this fits in around video number four.
02:22So the base of the storyline follows Floyd getting revenge on someone who turned his back
02:28and lit his house on fire in the last music video.
02:31So he's seeking revenge on that guy in this video.
02:35What do you think of the music video?
02:40It's a very hard movie.
02:43It's very cool.
02:45I love all the concepts.
02:47We're here in a more chilling environment.
02:50My parts are more relaxed.
02:54But it's very good.
02:56I'm very happy to be here with him.
02:58What do you think of the music video?
03:03I have Floyd's girlfriend in this series.
03:07Being at home and wishing for him to be back.
03:10And we follow his pursuit back while dealing with his revenge.
03:15Being in New York, we try to capture as much of the city as possible,
03:20as much of the chaos as possible,
03:22which ties perfectly with the revenge element while juggling a relationship.
03:27What does the music video mean to you?
03:32The music video is a story.
03:34It's about a state we're in.
03:36We can end up in Puerto Rico, Paris, Dubai.
03:42But the music video is about that.
03:45It's about a story in every state.
03:51My name is Stassi Wild.
03:53We are behind the scenes of Floyd's latest music video.
03:57We have been doing different music videos for Floyd's latest album.
04:02If I could describe today's music video in one word,
04:05I would say it would be just overall exciting.
04:08It's exciting for the opportunity to work with both Floyd and J Balvin.
04:13And it's exciting just being here in New York.
04:15It's my first time being here.
04:20My name is Ross Ginsberg. I'm the line producer.
04:22Today is going to be a really cool day.
04:24We're doing a little scene with this hacker layer type of setup.
04:29We have a luxury bedroom.
04:31And on top of that, we're doing some rooftop stuff up here.
04:34And what's so interesting and one of my favorite parts of music videos
04:38is getting creative to make it all happen.
04:40Actually build these sets, utilizing props and furniture and art.
04:45And that was definitely a really cool process going through it
04:48with our director, with our art team,
04:50figuring out the look we're trying to get.
04:52And, yeah, it's going to be amazing.
04:55What's up, boss?
04:56Hey, guys. I'm Leo. I'm the DP today.
04:59I'm excited to be a part of this great video.
05:02We're shooting in beautiful New York up on the rooftop.
05:04So the concept of the video today is try to incorporate everything together,
05:09not go too flashy, but still have some creative aspects,
05:13keeping the light pretty natural, pretty realistic.
05:17This is my first time working with Floy and J Balvin together.
05:21They're both great artists. I love this song.
05:23When I first heard it, I was straight on board.
05:26Both artists, they are incredible.
05:28Great energy, like lovely to be on set, lovely to be around.
05:32It's a pleasure to work with them, really.
05:34Hey, thank you, Billboard, for stopping by.
05:36Join us in this cold weather that I don't have.
05:38J Balvin, Latino Gang.
05:40Greetings to Floy Menor, who keeps rocking.
05:42Chile in the house. Colombia, let's go.
05:44Hey, thank you very much, Billboard.
05:45We love you.
