00:00I'm pleased to yield three minutes to my good friend from Georgia, Mr. Clyde.

00:06I thank you to my friend, Congressman Biggs, for holding tonight's special order and leading

00:10on this critical border issue.

00:13Since day one, President Trump has taken incredible steps to secure our border and protect the

00:17American people.

00:18These measures include ending catch and release, reinstating Remain in Mexico, restarting construction

00:25of the border wall, and cracking down on sanctuary cities.

00:29Recently, the Trump administration ended the taxpayer subsidization of open borders, meaning

00:35Americans' hard-earned tax dollars will no longer be used to support or incentivize illegal

00:41immigration.

00:42Additionally, the Trump administration has made great progress in carrying out its mass

00:46deportation operation.

00:48You know, what used to be called the CBP One app to allow illegals to more easily come

00:54into the country is now the CBP Home app.

00:59And you know why it's called the Home app?

01:02Because it's good for a one-way ticket home for illegal aliens so they can self-deport.

01:09President Trump is emptying our country of illegal aliens.

01:12Promises made, promises kept.

01:15Border czar Tom Homan and DHS Secretary Kristi Noem are tirelessly working to detain and

01:20deport illegal aliens.

01:23ICE agents, along with key assistance from local, state, and federal law enforcement

01:27partners, have already arrested and issued detainers for thousands of criminal illegal

01:32aliens, including murderers, drug traffickers, suspected terrorists, and MS-13 gang members.

01:39For example, ICE recently arrested an illegal alien in Atlanta, in my home state of Georgia,

01:45whose criminal history includes a conviction of four counts of indecent liberty with a

01:51child.

01:52Four counts!

01:53This heinous criminal illegal has no place in the Peach State, or anywhere else in our

01:58great country, for that matter.

02:00I'm deeply appreciative of the Trump administration for taking criminal illegals off of our streets.

02:06My Northeast Georgia district has seen the devastating impact of criminal illegal alien

02:12crime up close and personal.

02:15Last year, Maria Gomez Perez, a 12-year-old girl, was abducted in Gainesville, Georgia,

02:21by an illegal alien.

02:22Thankfully, she was rescued and found in Ohio.

02:26Days before the 2024 election, Mimi Rodriguez Ramirez, a 25-year-old mother, was murdered

02:33by an illegal alien from Mexico.

02:36And that happened in Haversham County.

02:38And just outside my district, Lake and Riley, the 22-year-old nursing student was brutally

02:43murdered by an illegal alien in Athens, Georgia.

02:48President Trump is working to prevent these tragedies from devastating additional families

02:52and communities across our country.

02:54I applaud his work to make America secure, safe, and great once again.
