MrBeast explains how being a top-tier YouTuber is similar to being a top-tier athlete.

00:00Being a top tier YouTuber, you could almost compare it to like,
00:05it's a weird comparison. I know some people are going to clip this and be like the ego,
00:08but it's almost like being a top tier athlete. Like you always have to be on point. It's not
00:12a thing that you just deserve. It's something you got to wake up and earn every single day.
00:16And like, there are probably 20, 30, 50 million people who want to be me, who want to be the
00:21biggest YouTuber in the world who are, you know, and there are millions that are obsessing every
00:25day over how they can take my spot, how they can dethrone me. If you want to stay on top,
00:29you just got to make a lot of sacrifice. To be honest, we were consistently uploading on YouTube,
00:33even though we filmed Beast Games. So the thing is basically I filmed every day for like 60 days.
00:39So two months leading up to it, I was just doing main channel video, main channel video,
00:42main channel video, main channel video, main channel video. So then we could backlog videos.
00:46And then Beast Games, we filmed 15 hours a day, every day for basically 45 days straight. And
00:51then we burned through the backlog of the videos. So then I come out of Beast Games and it's like,
00:56we have no main channel videos. And so now it's main. So it was basically like
01:00five months of basically filming every single day. It was, it was, it was brutal. It was very brutal.
