00:00 Today we will be planting 20 million trees.
00:03 Welcome to WatchMojo, and today we're counting down our picks for the most charitable things
00:08 Jimmy Donaldson, aka Mr. Beast, has ever done.
00:12 And for every one dollar you guys donate like this, one less pound of trash will be in the ocean.
00:17 Number 10. Free clothes for everyone.
00:21 So on one side we have so much waste, and on the other we have millions of people globally
00:26 that just need a simple t-shirt.
00:28 In 2023, Mr. Beast noticed a troubling trend.
00:32 While millions and millions of clothes went to waste every year,
00:35 there were communities that struggled to get their hands on the bare necessities.
00:39 So Mr. Beast did something about it, and started giving away free clothes.
00:44 A lot of them.
00:45 2.7 million dollars worth to be exact.
00:49 I was first at the understanding that we were gonna get some clothing,
00:52 we'll get a palette or two, and when I was told the amount, I was like, wow, that's gonna be huge.
00:58 Thanks to donations from Champion and Ridge Wallet,
01:01 Mr. Beast distributed free clothes across the US and India,
01:05 including the struggling Hopi Tribe reservation in Arizona.
01:08 In fact, he even left the Hopi Tribe with 13 tons of food too, just to sweeten the deal.
01:13 So we brought in 13 tons of fresh and non-perishable foods,
01:18 which will help reduce their food shortage problem and provide them with 25,000 nutritious meals.
01:23 Number 9. Winner, winner, Thanksgiving dinner.
01:26 We are literally feeding an entire city.
01:28 What's Thanksgiving dinner without a turkey?
01:31 Nothing. That's what.
01:33 In order to make sure everyone in town had a nice hot meal to celebrate,
01:37 Mr. Beast partnered with Jenny O to start handing them out in mass.
01:40 Altogether, they gave out 10,000 full turkeys to a local community.
01:46 That equates to a quarter of a million dollars in just turkey.
01:50 Don't forget about the potatoes either.
01:53 Considering the impact, you could say it was a success.
01:56 By Mr. Beast's own estimate, the turnout for this holiday event was 30 times larger
02:01 than any other food drive in the channel's history.
02:04 Clearly, Mr. Beast gave a lot of people a reason to be thankful.
02:08 And there you have it. There's still some turkeys left,
02:10 but we're going to give them to other food banks and they'll all be gone in the next few days.
02:13 Number 8. Helping the deaf here again.
02:16 But they are only a few of the 1,000 people that we are going to help here again today.
02:21 After this, there's no doubt about it.
02:23 Mr. Beast is a miracle worker.
02:26 That's the only way to explain how he helped disperse $3 million worth of next-gen hearing
02:30 technology. But this being Mr. Beast, he did more than help 1,000 people here again.
02:36 He also handed out wads of cash, a jet ski, and even Taylor Swift tickets.
02:41 What better way to break in your new hearing than going to a Taylor Swift concert?
02:44 And experience it with your new hearing.
02:46 He didn't stop in the US either. Mr. Beast funded hearing initiatives in Mexico too.
02:52 And Guatemala. And Brazil. Oh, and did we forget Indonesia? The list goes on.
02:58 What's more, he even put $100,000 towards the study of sign language worldwide.
03:03 Honestly, you should really just watch the video for yourself.
03:07 Number 7. Sharing Excess
03:15 More than one-third of food produced in the US each year goes to waste.
03:20 A number that Food Bank Sharing Excess is trying to reduce.
03:24 But they couldn't do it alone. That's where Mr. Beast came in.
03:28 With his support, Sharing Excess expanded beyond their wildest dreams, culminating in an all-new
03:38 recovery center in New York City. Mr. Beast claims he'll be giving away just over 2 million meals a
03:43 month to those in need. Keep in mind, all of that is from food that would have just been trashed
03:49 otherwise. So far, Sharing Excess has recovered over $30 million in food, with no signs of slowing
04:01 down anytime soon. Number 6. Curing Blindness
04:11 Despite recent scientific breakthroughs to combat visual impairments, over 200 million people around
04:17 the world still suffer from poor eyesight. We bet you can guess what Mr. Beast did with that
04:22 information. He wasn't content curing a few hundred people in the States though. See, this surgery's
04:35 biggest hurdle is plain and simple accessibility, something Mr. Beast fixed with ease. Cue to the
04:41 global tour of curing blindness. Throw in Mr. Beast's $100,000 donation towards surgery operations,
04:48 and it's no wonder he had people in tears. Did we mention he also gave away a Tesla?
04:56 There's no better way to celebrate new eyesight than letting a kid drive for the first time.
05:05 Number 5. Renovating an Orphanage
05:08 When Mr. Beast discovered an underserved children's home in South Africa, he got to work
05:24 doing what he does best. Six months later, he and his team unveiled their handiwork. New homes,
05:30 a new playground, new everything. After months and months of grueling labor, it was finally
05:35 time to surprise the kids. Alongside that, Mr. Beast's connection got various food corporations
05:40 to donate to the cause, including a pledge to feed the orphanage for an entire year.
05:45 Given that the home was on the verge of closing, the 180 is truly a sight to behold. But you
05:51 probably don't need to hear that from us. You can practically see the shock on the children's faces.
05:57 Number 4. Building Wells in Africa
06:03 Now, there are a lot of problems if you don't have good drinking water.
06:07 Clean drinking water is something most people take for granted. But not Mr. Beast. In areas
06:12 like Cameroon in Africa, water is such a scarce resource, the community often has to get their
06:18 fill from a dirty river. Or they did until Mr. Beast stepped in and built three new wells for
06:23 the area. These aren't piddly springs either. Reportedly, each one can produce 10,000 liters
06:29 of clean water a day. The people were so grateful, they gathered by the thousands and threw a whole
06:34 parade just to celebrate. Now, what if we said that was just the start? A year after Cameroon,
06:45 Mr. Beast's foundation built 100 more wells around the world. He just doesn't stop.
06:56 Number 3. Team Seas
06:58 As you can probably guess from the name, the mission here is simple. Keep the oceans clean.
07:11 In practice, though, that's a lot easier said than done. Luckily, Mr. Beast wasn't alone.
07:17 Together with thousands of creators from across the globe, he launched Team Seas,
07:22 a project that pledged to raise $30 million towards ocean cleanup by the end of 2021.
07:27 But the money was just a means to an end. Mr. Beast promised that, for every dollar donated,
07:40 they'd removed another pound of junk from the sea. Altogether, Team Seas has raised over $33 million.
07:47 It doesn't take a mathematician to add up how much cleaner our oceans are now.
07:51 Number 2. Beast Philanthropy
07:54 Mr. Beast has done it all. He's funded charities, helped paralyzed dogs,
08:08 donated prosthetics to those in need, and so much more. But the best part is that each of those
08:14 videos helps raise money for the next one. Most of Mr. Beast's charitable endeavors are posted to
08:20 his side channel, Beast Philanthropy, which is 100% not-for-profit. Every single dollar made
08:26 from the channel's ad revenue goes right back into charity, and it's the same for merch sales
08:31 and brand deals, too. Somehow, someway, Mr. Beast created a cycle of giving,
08:44 that truly never ends. At this point, there's no telling how far Beast Philanthropy can go.
09:12 Number 1. Team Trees
09:14 To commemorate 20 million subscribers on YouTube, Mr. Beast decided it would only be fitting to try
09:21 and plant the same number of trees. With soil, love, and lots of hard work, that idea grew
09:33 into Team Trees, one of the most influential online movements in recent memory.
09:38 It's day number two and we brought a lot more people.
09:40 And now we're gonna try to plant the 20 million trees.
09:45 Alongside fellow YouTuber Mark Rober, Mr. Beast vowed to raise 20 million dollars for the Arbor
09:50 Day Foundation, one dollar for each tree. It felt like the whole internet came together to help,
09:56 and as a result, Team Trees has amassed over 24 million dollars. That's a whole lot of trees that
10:02 would never have been planted without the help of Mr. Beast, Mark Rober, and most importantly,
10:07 Team Trees. This is our chance to show the world we care. What's your favorite Mr. Beast video?
