A woman who dined at the best restaurant in the world said it was an "edible masterpiece" - and spent €295 on 28 courses.

Giselle Chusan, 27, from West Palm Beach, Florida ate at Disfrutar, Barcelona - which was crowned the world's best restaurant by The World's 50 Best Restaurants, in January 2025.

She managed to get her way onto the year-long waiting list for a table and took her mom on a girls' trip to Barcelona.

Giselle ate 28 courses and had wine pairing - including 12 wines - which set them back €430 ($467).

The duo spent four hours in the restaurant and Giselle said it was a "phenomenal" experience.

00:00I dined at the restaurant ranked number one in the world and let me just say everyone should
00:04experience a meal like this at least once in their life. Disfrutar in Barcelona holds three
00:08Michelin stars and was crowned the best restaurant in the world by world 50 best and trust me it
00:13lives up to every bit of the hype. From the moment you step in you feel warmly welcome like part of
00:18the family. The entire experience had an omakase style mystery to it we had no clue what was coming
00:23until the dish appeared in front of us. Even the menu was just a sheet filled with words hinting
00:28at the flavors and feelings we were about to experience. This was a 28 course journey that
00:33lasted about four hours for us but honestly time flew by. They were incredibly accommodating with
00:39dietary restrictions and allergies but let's talk about the food. 99.9% of the bites were
00:45mind-blowing but the 0.1% that wasn't was this tiny microgreen that tasted like parsley which
00:50to me tastes like soap if you know you know. But aside from that the dishes weren't just creative
00:55they made you feel something and they were edible masterpieces. For example this isn't a grilled
01:01cheese it's gazpacho the second you bite into it it melts in your mouth recreating the same silky
01:05texture you get from sipping gazpacho off of a spoon. I also got the wine pairing which included
01:1011 wines and by the last one let's just say I was on another vibrational frequency. The price of this
01:16menu was 295 euros for the 28 courses and 165 euros for the wine pairing which to me was a steal
01:22especially considering the experience I recently had at a certain place we won't name. Anyways
01:27make sure to follow if you love exploring places around the world.
