00:00Today I'm gonna buy and test over 20 weird, interesting, failed LEGO items you can no
00:05longer buy from LEGO to see if they deserve to be brought back or put in the trash.
00:10So anyway, let's go.
00:11Okay, so I ordered over 15 packages to my door.
00:15So yeah, the mailman definitely hates me.
00:17But these are the products we're gonna review in this video,
00:20so let's go ahead and bring them inside my crib.
00:24Nice, the payload has been secured.
00:26The first failed LEGO product we're gonna look at is actually a game
00:29you can play with friends.
00:31It's a small arena where you can battle people in,
00:33and to battle you're given these two minifigs,
00:36and each of them go on one of these special bases that actually spin.
00:39So all you have to do now is equip each player with their own weapon,
00:43give them a spin, and see which one kills the other first.
00:49This next LEGO item is actually an entire set,
00:52and inside you're given these small LEGO helicopters made from one giant LEGO piece,
00:57and they're actually designed to fly like a real helicopter.
01:00So to do that, you pull on this long cord which spins the propellers.
01:04Three, two, one, go.
01:10Oh, oh, look at that!
01:12Wait, that went like vibrating in the air.
01:14I need to pull harder on mine.
01:15It flies a bit.
01:16Kind of feels like a McDonald's Happy Meal.
01:18Yeah.
01:18Okay, it actually works, and it's really fun,
01:20so I think LEGO should make more of these.
01:22Okay, for this next LEGO set, you don't want to throw away the box,
01:26because it's actually part of the LEGO set,
01:28because it turns out to be a LEGO soccer set where the box is the actual goal for the ball.
01:33You're given this small base to put a minifigure,
01:35which uses springs so the player can actually kick the ball.
01:38You also get a small target practice game to see how skilled you are,
01:42and this goalie attached to a stick that you can adjust with your hand to block the ball.
01:46All right, let's go.
01:49I see better!
01:50Another sport is basketball, and LEGO actually make their very own basketball set,
01:55but what's special about this one is the actual court you play on
01:58is literally made using a piece of paper.
02:01Yep, this is actually a real LEGO piece,
02:03and to shoot the ball, you get these special minifigs with springs in their legs
02:06that you pull back and release.
02:08This next LEGO item costs $10, and it comes in a small box with a LEGO man inside,
02:13and after opening it, you get these special LEGO faces that can attach to his neck,
02:18and they're actually tiny speech bubbles that even come with little stickers that say different things.
02:23So now we can know this LEGO man's thoughts, and he can communicate with his voice.
02:27Let's see what he thinks of this dish.
02:30Oh, he likes the dish. Let's go.
02:32Wait, what's he saying to this girl?
02:33No way, he's actually raising her up!
02:35This next item is a single LEGO piece,
02:38but it's special because it's actually used as a working air pump.
02:41Yeah, this is definitely the smallest pump I've ever seen,
02:44so we're gonna see if it actually works by trying to inflate an actual balloon with air.
02:49Oh my gosh!
02:50Yep, it works, guys.
02:52This LEGO piece looks nothing like LEGO,
02:54but it's a tiny piece of cloth that can actually fold out into a tent.
02:58So I have this homeless LEGO man, and now we can gift this to him as his brand new home.
03:03This LEGO piece stopped being made by LEGO over 20 years ago,
03:06and it's a working car jack, and it's actually strong enough to support the weight of a LEGO car.
03:11And this piece looks like a boring gray wall,
03:13but what's special is you can actually rotate it, and it magically turns into a spiral staircase.
03:19This is a regular LEGO tree, and it uses these cone bricks for the trunk,
03:23but LEGO used to make this special piece,
03:25which is a realistic tree trunk that can actually bend like a real tree should.
03:30This next LEGO item I bought costs $10, and it's a small LEGO set.
03:34It's this very interesting LEGO car with flames coming out of the exhaust pipes,
03:38and a giant plow on the front.
03:40But the best part about this set is the car comes with this giant pump that you can slide it into,
03:45and if you press really hard on the pump, the car will explode forward.
03:49Okay, to test this car's power, we're gonna see how many people it can plow through.
03:57Okay, there's 30 people, and 10 of them got plowed.
03:59I also bought this LEGO set, which is another car,
04:02but instead of using a pump to move, this car has a wind-up feature
04:05where you pull it back and release it to shoot it forward.
04:08The set even comes with a small ramp to launch the car off of using this thin piece of plastic.
04:13This next item is really weird, because it's a LEGO ski mask.
04:17Yep, this is actually a real LEGO product,
04:19and to prove it's true, it literally has a LEGO brick on the top.
04:23And this is literally perfect, because if I wear this, I can walk into the LEGO store,
04:27grab as much LEGO as I can, and walk out without them being able to identify me.
04:33Okay, I bought another LEGO set, which has a very special piece inside of it.
04:37And after building it, it's a LEGO police chase set,
04:40with this criminal who's trying to run away from the cops in his car,
04:44and this giant LEGO police truck.
04:46But to catch the criminals, it has a very special piece attached to it,
04:49which is a giant cannon that can shoot nets.
04:52The crime rate in LEGO City has gone down now.
04:57This next piece LEGO stopped making a long time ago, and it's suspension for a car.
05:01So if you attach wheels to it and put it underneath a car,
05:04the car will smoothly drive over a bumpy road.
05:07I also bought this LEGO set, which also has a special piece in it.
05:10But this time, it's a peaceful LEGO family house,
05:13with two separate levels, a small family car, a dog.
05:16But what makes this set special is when you walk up to the door,
05:19you can push this tiny button, which activates a real doorbell.
05:26Yep, the doorbell is actually real,
05:28and it's made using this special electronic LEGO piece, which looks like a normal brick.
05:33But it has holes on the side for the sound to come out of.
05:35So next time there's a LEGO delivery driver,
05:38he can ring the doorbell to alert us when a new package arrives.
05:41This next LEGO item is a working boat motor.
05:44You twist the front of it, and it uses batteries to activate this tiny propeller in the back,
05:48which is supposed to push any boat forward.
05:51So to see if it actually works,
05:52I'm gonna attach it to the bottom of a real LEGO boat and see if it works.
05:56Okay, ready? Here we go.
05:59Oh, let's go. It's actually moving.
06:01Nice, it actually works, guys.
06:03There's even a small flap behind the propeller
06:05that you can adjust to change the direction that the boat goes.
06:10Okay, I bought another LEGO set,
06:12but it has some rare LEGO pieces that you can't find in any other set made by LEGO.
06:16And these pieces are special because if you turn the lights off in your room,
06:20they actually will glow in the dark.
06:22Like this horse skeleton and this LEGO mummy minifigure.
06:25This is a regular LEGO brick.
06:27And if you look underneath, it has supports.
06:29That way it can connect properly to other bricks.
06:33But what people don't know is old LEGO bricks from several decades ago used to look like this.
06:38It has no supports like how nobody supports KSI's song.
06:42Yep, they were completely empty inside.
06:44Meaning when you connect them to another LEGO brick, they will literally slide around.
06:49Old LEGO minifigures were also completely different.
06:51Yep, they literally had no arms or legs.
06:54And also no face.
06:55These are old LEGO minifigures from over 20 years ago.
06:58But something about them is the fact they don't actually have eyeballs.
07:02So LEGO eventually updated these figures and made new ones that are way more realistic and actually have eyes.
07:08LEGO did the same thing with old LEGO animals like this owl or this cat.
07:12Because LEGO ended up making newer versions of them that also have eyeballs.
07:16This is an old LEGO door.
07:17And the issue with it is that it's literally too short for a minifigure to even walk through it.
07:22So LEGO stopped making these and replaced them with better newer doors.
07:25Which are one brick higher and a minifigure can actually walk through them.
07:29This is a LEGO treasure map.
07:31But when you look at it, it's completely empty and there's literally nothing.
07:35But there's actually a secret to unlocking the mysteries of this map.
07:38Because if you grab some water and pour it on the map, it will magically reveal where to go to find the buried treasure.
07:45Except now you have a wet map.
07:47Okay, now LEGO makes different sizes of bricks.
07:49Like this regular brick.
07:50This Duplo brick for little kids.
07:52And it's a lot bigger than a regular LEGO brick.
07:54That way little kids don't shove it up their nose.
07:57But what people don't know is LEGO made even bigger bricks than these.
08:01And these were intended for babies since they're so big and easy to stack.
08:04So basically the moment you're born, you can already become a day one LEGO fan.
08:09LEGO also made these bricks which are the complete opposite.
08:12Because they're actually smaller than a regular LEGO brick.
08:15But they work just like real LEGO bricks.
08:17Because you can basically build anything you want with them.
08:19Like I ended up building this LEGO house.
08:22Look how small it is compared to this guy.
08:24This next LEGO piece is clear.
08:26And it's specifically intended for minifigures.
08:29Because if you put someone on top of it, you can push it and launch the person into space.
08:33Let's see if he can clear this wall.
08:36Oh, let's go!
08:37Wow, it actually works really well.
08:39And now it's time to unbox the coolest, biggest item that I bought for this video.
08:43Which is an old LEGO set from over 30 years ago.
08:46And it has rare elements in it that LEGO has never used since.
08:50And after building the set, it's this giant futuristic spaceship full of aliens.
08:54But what makes this set special is there's a special piece on top.
08:58Which uses the heat from your finger to change color.
09:00It also uses magnets which help connect part of the spaceship together.
09:04But my favorite feature is this tiny button that will activate these super cool lights.
09:10Okay, I'm not sure why it's making all that noise.
09:12But for a 30 year old LEGO set, I'm really surprised these actually work.
09:16Comment your favorite item I reviewed in this video.
09:19Thanks for watching, and I'll see you in the next one.
09:28Everything is awesome, but illegal tricks, yo, and we never stop it.
