I’m a Paramedic With a 100% Failure Rate on Saving Lives - Ambulance Life - Let's Game It Out

----------

Check it out on Steam ► https://store.steampowered.com/app/1926520/Ambulance_Life_A_Paramedic_Simulator/

More about Ambulance Life: A Paramedic Simulator (from Steam):

Developed by the creators of the groundbreaking Police Simulator: Patrol Officers, Ambulance Life: A Paramedic Simulator is the first simulation game in which you experience every aspect of a paramedic’s life. Your objective? Quickly reach the accident site at the wheel of your ambulance. Your mission? Take care of the injured and apply first aid. Each accident is different. It's up to you to adapt and make the right choices while being fast and efficient.

You have devoted yourself to saving the lives of the people on the West Coast of the United States. The city is comprised of 3 diverse Districts containing a variety of environments, including historic quarters, the business districts and industrial zones. Each neighborhood is different and can be the site of everyday accidents or major events. The citizens of San Pelícano have daily habits and activities, any of which can lead to new types of incidents.

As soon as dispatch calls the alarm, you must race to your ambulance, turn on your siren, and race to the site of the accident as quickly as possible. It will take all your driving skills to navigate the crowded streets and find the best route. Time is of the essence!

Once you reach the site of the accident, you must carefully analyze the situation to precisely determine the right treatment for each patient. Speak with them to learn about the circumstances of the accident and perform various necessary checks using the many instruments you have available and determine your initial diagnosis. Patients may react poorly to your methods if they have allergies, and some pre-existing conditions may complicate the treatment of otherwise simple issues. Most severe cases will then need to be moved into the ambulan

00:00Hey there, it's Josh. Welcome back to Let's Game It Out.
00:02We're checking out ambulance life today.
00:04I've always wanted to be an ambulance.
00:06Oh wait, a paramedic simulator.
00:08Eh, close enough. And also this video is sponsored by
00:10DC Dark Legion. But more on
00:12that in a bit. For now, it's character selection
00:14time. I especially love how when you go
00:16through the characters, you basically Thanos
00:18snap one to bring the other one back.
00:20Okay, seriously, what are the odds that any of this matters?
00:22And after going through all of our selections,
00:24I think I know exactly who I'm gonna be picking.
00:26And it's gonna be Angela Johnson, and I'll tell
00:28you why. This is the only one that's divorced.
00:30And I really want to know if that plays into
00:32the story. Spoiler! It
00:34doesn't matter. Buckle up, Angela.
00:36It's time for your first day on the job.
00:38Oh wow, it really is our first day on the job.
00:40Well, I guess let's go over there and talk to that child
00:42they made a paramedic. Hop in the ambulance,
00:44and we'll wait for our first assignment from dispatch.
00:46Okay, I'll definitely be getting in the driver's
00:48seat. Of my own destiny!
00:50Let's go see how this game works. And look at that!
00:52They don't even honk. And now let's see how we square
00:54off in an intersection. Even the cops are
00:56okay with this. Bro, that is some sick
00:58blocking traffic you're doing. And also
01:00look at these pedestrians. What are you guys
01:02doing? Do you all need to take a crap?
01:04Although I did just realize something. It would
01:06appear when you block traffic, all the lights
01:08just stay red forever. Well, now
01:10I have to know. Is there a limit to how many
01:12pedestrians will stand here? Or get
01:14in the way and almost make this woman trip?
01:16Also, nice backpack, dork. Oh hey, I
01:18see you there stumbling around playing with your phone.
01:20Hey, that reminds me of our sponsor.
01:22And that's DC Dark Legion.
01:24Which is available now for you to play on
01:26iOS, Android, and PC
01:28via their official website.
01:30DC Dark Legion is a superhero
01:32strategy game featuring over
01:3450 of your favorite friends and foes
01:36of the DC Universe. And it's all
01:38featured in high quality, comic book
01:40art style, while you collect and train
01:42your champions, customize your Batcave,
01:44and build shelters to save civilians.
01:46The game also has an intuitive UI
01:48and is designed to pick up and play
01:50whenever you have a moment or 10.
01:52You can even earn rewards while idle.
01:54You can also engage in PvP with other
01:56DC fans from around the world.
01:58And you may come for the gameplay, but
02:00you'll stay for the story. This game features
02:02voiceover by Roger Craig Smith,
02:04who voiced Batman in Batman
02:06Arkham Origins and Arkham Shadow.
02:08And he's here to lend his legendary
02:10vocal chords to not just Batman,
02:12but also the game's central threat,
02:14the Batman Who Laughs. Who you may
02:16recognize from Scott Snyder's Dark Knights
02:18Metal series.
02:22You'll even
02:26visit iconic locales adapted from
02:28that series, including Metropolis,
02:30Gotham City, Atlantis, and
02:32more. Oh, and also, the game is free to play
02:34and nearly all champions released at
02:36launch can be unlocked for free
02:38within that first month. You can collect over
02:40350 bleed draws to
02:42unlock almost all of them. So if this
02:44sounds good to you, there's a link in the description
02:46to get you started. And also use
02:48gift code DCDL999
02:50to get a whole bunch of resources
02:52and three hero pulls called
02:54World Anvil Fragments. And thanks
02:56again to DC Dark Legion
02:58for sponsoring. Anyway, I've been standing
03:00here for like a real life hour, and it does
03:02look like the game regulates how many people are
03:04standing around. And I also did notice that
03:06Oh my
03:08God, what happened to you? I don't even know what to say.
03:10Why is nobody concerned about this?
03:12Alright, well, my first job as a paramedic is gonna be
03:14following this person around. You know how it is,
03:16just being a hostile alien out there
03:18in public with nothing to hide.
03:20And then there's me, suddenly walking with a limp.
03:22Officer, please help me!
03:24Sorry, that's your own problem, bye!
03:26You know what, lady? Wait right here. I'm gonna get
03:28my chariot. Thanks, partner, for
03:30patiently waiting. Okay, I think that's her right
03:32there. Oh, yep, you can't hide from me.
03:34Come here, lady, you're mine!
03:36Oh, I guess she went back to her home planet.
03:38Ah, yeah, I see now. The game doesn't let you
03:40roll over people. They just cease to exist
03:42like a magic trick. And then our medical
03:44partner says stuff like this.
03:46Yes, be careful.
03:48We can't be taking more lives than we save.
03:50Anyway, it's onward to our first- whoops,
03:52I passed it. See that big golden shower
03:54over there? I believe that's our first location.
03:56Pardon me, pardon me, pardon me. Thank
03:58you. Okay, good. I believe
04:00this is where we disembark. Alright, where
04:02were we? Who goes there and disturbs us?
04:04Ma'am, are you okay? Let's see, there's no
04:06prompts. How am I supposed to help you? Oh, wait,
04:08I'm supposed to get back in my ambulance. I gotta
04:10follow procedure. Being a paramedic
04:12sure is difficult. Okay, now we need to
04:14park our ambulance near the patient and exit
04:16the vehicle. Okay, you got it.
04:18Ma'am? May I?
04:20Don't worry, she's fine. It's just
04:22her legs. And... disembark.
04:24What do you mean you can't get out?
04:26Climb out through the window, I don't care.
04:28Okay, I think I'm understanding. You need to have all of
04:30these quadrants clear to get out. Otherwise,
04:32the game is like, meh, you can't be a proper
04:34paramedic. Oh, yeah, look, that's perfect.
04:36This is considered a job well done.
04:38Are you done being super needy over here?
04:40Can you tell me what happened?
04:42I suddenly heard this ringing noise in my ears.
04:44And then you crushed my legs! That was
04:46actually the main problem! Okay, let's
04:48see, we need to inspect and... whoa!
04:50And then I hone in on potential pain
04:52points. Retrieve stretcher from the ambulance.
04:54Oh, don't wait up, I know how to do this one.
04:56I can get this thing by myself, right?
04:58Oh! Never mind, help
05:00is here. Okay, let's go get this stretcher to
05:02the lady. But first, this beach is
05:04just too inviting. Easy...
05:06Easy... Okay, yep, this is
05:08going about as well as I hoped it could. And
05:10here I was worried we wouldn't get our cardio today.
05:12And I got possessed for free!
05:14Oh my god, you know what else I didn't notice?
05:16My outrageously long arms. And
05:18oh my god, I'm sorry about your wrists.
05:20Alright, enough screwing around. Ma'am, are you
05:22still there? Don't worry, we're here to help,
05:24kinda. Alright, in you go!
05:26Okay, let's see what we can do. Unfortunately,
05:28we don't have access to all these amazing
05:30syringes... yet. So we'll play their
05:32dumb little game and put the little oximeter
05:34on their stupid little hand. And now we have to
05:36apply the blood pressure thingy.
05:38Whoa, game, whoa! Not necessary.
05:40You didn't have to rip the shirt.
05:42You know what? I'm gonna let my partner deal with that.
05:44I'll just do the driving. Quickly, to the
05:46closest hospital!
05:48Our patient doesn't like that at all.
05:50Well, our patient doesn't know what she's missing, then.
05:52I just made two vehicles fall in love.
05:54Okay, now we're cooking with gas.
05:56And patient's lives. Not an emergency,
05:58I just don't like waiting. Okay, geez,
06:00the hospital's finally in sight. Watch out,
06:02everybody! Coming through!
06:04Okay, I think we're here. Here you go, doc.
06:06No, I don't know what's wrong. Ah, we did
06:08great. We found, we treated,
06:10and I think that means she died in the hospital.
06:12Finally, the real fun can begin.
06:14Because now we've got toys.
06:16Ooh, and we can do customization!
06:18Uh, what happened to our hair?
06:20Wait, what happened to everybody's hair? Are we all
06:22aliens, too? Now it's time for us
06:24to do a regular shift.
06:26Huh? Why am I you?
06:28Oh, I guess this is the last person I selected, huh?
06:30Well, looks like you're our guy for the day. Let's do this.
06:32Oh my God, and before we can even get
06:34to the ambulance...
06:38Copy that, dispatch. We are
06:40on our way. All precautions taken.
06:42Whoops.
06:44I guess we can't roll over people after the tutorial.
06:46Well, that was a quick shift.
06:48Look at that. D-ranking. Negative six
06:50for a game over. We still came out ahead.
06:52And for one frame, we have an invisible
06:54automobile. Oh, thank goodness.
06:56Our favorite divorcee is back.
07:00Okay, we're on the case. Everyone
07:02out of the way. I said everybody out of the way!
07:04Especially you, utility box. Okay,
07:06I'm here. Let's assess the-
07:08Oh.
07:10What, you can't do that? Okay, fine. I'll be
07:12good this time. What seems to be the
07:14problem? Do you need to make a poopie?
07:16Now, I'm gonna assume you're the patient.
07:18Although, looks like I can do two things.
07:20Anamnesis, which according to Google
07:22is like a recounting of someone's medical history.
07:24Or ask to move. Ask
07:26to move it is.
07:28Yeah. In fact, I've had just about enough of you.
07:30Let's keep asking you to move all the way out of here.
07:32Move. Stop juking me.
07:34Uh, I'm busy right now.
07:36Okay, I think we've reached the end of where she's
07:38willing to go. Because now if I tell her to move,
07:40she just turns around and stares at the outside
07:42world like she can't possibly do that.
07:44Well, now that we have you, let's ask you some questions.
07:46While your friend screams
07:48for help in the background.
07:50I'm sorry, I
07:52couldn't hear you over all that whining behind
07:54us.
07:56I'll be the judge of this situation.
07:58Because now I'm a detective
08:00and I need to know what's happening. Well, let's see.
08:02We could ask questions that could really help us out.
08:04Let's go straight to intervention. Stay calm.
08:06I'm starting to feel better.
08:08Well, looks like we solved the problem.
08:10Uh, ma'am?
08:12Looks like all she needed was 50 milligrams of some Z's.
08:14Well, what the hell am I supposed to do now?
08:16I already scanned her for clues.
08:18Oh, wait. I forgot I can do treatments.
08:20Quickly. Neck brace.
08:22Wait.
08:24Why did you have to rip her shirt off?
08:26I don't understand.
08:28Whatever. Get in the back. I don't want to have to explain this to anyone.
08:30We better take her to the hospital now.
08:32Please drive more carefully. Think of our patient.
08:34Are you kidding? I think our patient would be impressed
08:36with this. No idea what happened. Good luck.
08:38Have fun. Oh, hey, and check it out. I leveled
08:40up. So excited about all these unlocks.
08:42I mean, look at all these options. We've got morphine
08:44and a tourniquet and morphine
08:46and a ventilator and morphine.
08:48I got a good feeling about this one.
08:50The report indicates at least one injured
08:52worker. Maybe more. Oh my god.
08:54Maybe more. Now I get the feeling
08:56this is going to be a nice standard case.
09:00Well, it's going to be something
09:02alright. Okay, let's see what we've got.
09:04Hello, sir. What seems to be the problem?
09:06Patient appears to have a case of pouting.
09:08My right forearm feels bad.
09:10Oh, that seems pretty straightforward. Step one.
09:12Neck brace. You know what that means.
09:14Yep.
09:16Off comes the shirt. Wait, what?
09:18What are you doing? Oh, are we modeling for me now?
09:20I mean, I guess I get it. Any chance
09:22to show off the goods? Hang on, let's give you
09:24some more treatment. Outside the ambulance, we don't
09:26have very many choices, but we do have this
09:28tourniquet. Can be applied to patient's extremities
09:30to limit blood flow. Oh, let's see.
09:32We could go with the arms or somewhere on the leg.
09:34How about the leg?
09:36Oh, good. No pants either.
09:38I don't know what I was expecting.
09:40Did we really have to take off his shoes and socks?
09:42Okay, I don't think we have a choice.
09:44We've got to get him on the stretcher. Honestly, I don't know
09:46if I've seen a good...
09:48Stop. We already took all of his dignity.
09:50Okay, are you comfortable? Let's take a look.
09:52Oh, no. Not you too. Now's not the time
09:54to revert to your alien form. We're trying
09:56to save lives out here. Well, whatever.
09:58Let's get you and your hair inside the ambulance.
10:00Oh, thank God your hair's back to normal. But the patient
10:02looks worried for some reason, and we can't
10:04have that, so we should give him an O2 mask.
10:06No, wait. A ventilator.
10:08Can supply a non-breathing patient with oxygen
10:10automatically. Ah, yes. That's the magic.
10:12Oh, God! I didn't think he would
10:14actually do it. I'm so sorry. Okay, that
10:16wasn't so bad, right? Sir, you're starting to look
10:18a little tense. 91 heart rate's a little
10:20elevated for me. Would you like some lorazepam
10:22to calm down? Of course you would.
10:26See? Isn't that better? We better make it
10:28too. We don't know how his alien physiology
10:30will deal with this.
10:32Ooh. Well, look at the time. I gotta
10:34take a smoke break. I'm sure my partner has
10:36this under control. See? She's doing great.
10:38In there doing CPR like a champ.
10:40Quickly to the emergency room.
10:42Special delivery. No, I don't know what happened to
10:44his pants, socks, shoes, or shirt. And despite
10:46another day of wrong life-saving intervention,
10:48we've gained a whole bunch of experience
10:50points. Alright, time for another one.
10:52Some sort of blast at a construction site.
10:54Wow, this sounds serious. We better get there
10:56ASAP. Don't worry, the city
10:58will understand why we had to take out all these
11:00parking meters. Okay, let's see. This looks
11:02like the place. Move, move, move!
11:06Okay, here we are, right on time.
11:08Hi there. What seems to be the
11:10problem? Let's see. Injured, injured.
11:12What's your deal? Can you tell me
11:14what happened? I saw nothing like that.
11:16What are you doing here?
11:18Don't answer that, I'll take care of this myself.
11:20Over my endless
11:22shots of lorazepam, this was a witness.
11:24But whatever, load last checkpoint.
11:26Uh, what the hell happened to my view?
11:28It's like we're a two-year-old on the worst ride
11:30along ever, and I keep hearing this metal
11:32noise. Oh wait, I think
11:34I see what's happening here. Do you see that speed
11:36bump sign in the back there? I think they got
11:38wedged inside my ambulance.
11:40Oh! I don't know if you
11:42caught that, but it just launched its way
11:44out. Anyway, where was I? You know what?
11:46Now I'm actually curious about something. If I can't
11:48hit any of these people with my vehicle,
11:50maybe I can hit them with another vehicle.
11:52Like, if we just push someone. Sorry about
11:54your window. Then we take another car.
11:56Slowly angle this into position.
11:58Easy. There we go.
12:00Slowly covering that entire
12:02person with a car. Oh god!
12:04That's the person under the vehicle! Well, I think we've
12:06good and proper turned her into a spirit.
12:08Her and her noodle arms are probably in another plane of
12:10existence by now. Maybe I can talk to her from
12:12the other side. Excuse me ma'am, now I can
12:14Oh boy. You know, I don't know why I'm
12:16acting shocked. This is better than anything I could
12:18have imagined. Okay, well if that's the case,
12:20maybe we can undo all this with the stretcher.
12:22Ma'am, just wait here. We're gonna... Oh.
12:24The car's vanished. That's fine. We did it once.
12:26We can do it again. I like this dude right here
12:28just watching as I slowly
12:30compact these people more and more against
12:32these cars. Alright, this should be good enough. Let's get out
12:34and help this person.
12:36...
12:38...
12:40Or that could happen. Those paramedics
12:42always define gravity. So ma'am, I'm
12:44here to check on you again. I wanted to see how
12:46your existential dread is doing, given that
12:48you're underneath the shadow of a vehicle that's
12:50threatening to crush you at any second. I think
12:52I've seen all I need to see. Ma'am, get on the
12:54stretcher. Okay, now the next step is, um...
12:56Uh... Hmm... Alright, let's
12:58see. This feels like a tough nut to crack.
13:00Unfortunately, try as I might, I can't find
13:02the correct angle to get this thing back into
13:04the vehicle. Maybe we can just take this to the
13:06hospital like this. Hi, yes, we're here.
13:08Can someone please come out and help us? Alright,
13:10well, to hell with it. I've done my job. I'm sure
13:12someone will come pick her up eventually. Oh, there
13:14was the problem. Ambulances
13:16only. I'm the jerk here. Oh,
13:18and look, more good news. Our vehicle's
13:20right where we left it. Well, I guess we can still
13:22help you. Or apparently not. I can't talk
13:24to him at all. Well, I'm sorry, sir. If I don't
13:26have the prompt to talk to you, there's just nothing
13:28I can do. I mean, my vehicle's all the way up
13:30there. My stretcher's all the way at the hospital.
13:32So I guess you're on your own. Good luck.
13:34And scene. Shift ended
13:36before callout was completed. That's okay.
13:38There's always another case for us to get. This one
13:40appears to be the case that a car collided with a
13:42bike. Never fear.
13:44The paramedics are here. Step aside, citizen.
13:46I'm here to make things worse. I love
13:48that her head whipped up like, oh no.
13:50Oh, I didn't realize I could just walk all over
13:52you to get up on this car. Officer, can
13:54you believe this? Actually, wait, can I talk
13:56to you? Oh, hello there. Can you tell me what happened?
13:58I don't know them that well, unfortunately.
14:00Yeah, you're right. You're only the police.
14:02What was I thinking? Move. Get out of here.
14:04Nice to know that a paramedic can tell a cop what
14:06to do. Alright, anyway, you know the drill. We
14:08need the stretcher. Mostly because I want to see if we can
14:10ramp this thing off of her. Ah, doesn't look
14:12like it. Oh, wait, I forgot to talk to the patient.
14:14Luckily, my partner's got you pinned. Thank you.
14:16Hello. I was in such a hurry.
14:18I didn't see the car coming at all.
14:20Whoa, don't admit fault.
14:22There's an incompetent police officer right
14:24there. Alright, hold still. Let's
14:26take a look. Well, the good news is she's wearing
14:28shorts. So thankfully for the tourniquet she
14:30actually needs, we won't have to do anything weird.
14:32Or
14:34apparently we rip off that and her socks and shoes.
14:36I can't with this game. Why are we doing this?
14:38Whatever, let's get you on the stretcher.
14:40I have an idea anyway. She probably just
14:42needs a little salt water to clean out the wound.
14:44So off we go.
14:46Well, not sure what I thought would happen here. But what
14:48happens if we leave the stretcher?
14:50Well, yeah,
14:52at least the patient is safe,
14:54right? And another D for me.
14:56And oh boy, all of our training
14:58has come down to this. Behold
15:00one of the game's catastrophic events,
15:02which I think like a tanker blew up or something like
15:04that. Or zombies, I'm not really sure.
15:06But the point is, is we're going in. We basically
15:08have two jobs here. One is to find
15:10all the injured people. And because it's like a
15:12mass event, we gotta triage this. Basically
15:14we have to decide how serious it is.
15:16Is Mr. Sad Face a minor case,
15:18an immediate case, delayed, or deceased?
15:20I guess he's deceased.
15:22And we can't take too long with you, sir, but I will give you
15:24a standard neck brace.
15:26There you go. You're doing much better. Help is on the way.
15:28Just rely on the system, sir. The black tag
15:30means everyone will know you're deceased. Sir, are you doing
15:32okay? You look a little bummed out. Here, I got
15:34just the thing to help that headache. It's called
15:36a tourniquet. Yep,
15:38there you go. And hey, why stop there? Why not
15:40a tourniquet on both legs? There you
15:42go. You're looking stellar. Head still hurts,
15:44huh? Well, in that case, may I interest
15:46you in a tracheostomy? Can be performed
15:48to increase a patient's airway efficiency.
15:50Hold still, Walter White. We're going in.
15:52There, is that better?
15:54Well, he probably can't feel
15:56his head hurting anymore. And if you get tired
15:58of doing your job, you can just stare at a wall
16:00and wait out the timer. Oh, but our job
16:02isn't done. We have patients we gotta
16:04treat now. Per usual, we need to put the oximeter
16:06on them, which for some reason makes their shirt
16:08magically disappear. Okay, and look, I know
16:10this is really sadistic. And yes, I can
16:12see that this guy is already awake and
16:14alert. But we can't play a paramedic game without
16:16using the paddles, can we? Yeah, I didn't think
16:18so. Clear!
16:20See? He's much happier now.
16:22Great teeth, by the way. Well,
16:24we'll check on him in a little bit. I'm sure he'll
16:26shake it off. And now on to this guy. Sir,
16:28are you already dead? Well, if nothing else,
16:30this guy's getting the ventilator.
16:32Are you preparing surgery? Just drive. I am
16:34driving! Ambition! To help patients!
16:36What are you doing? Anyway, hopefully this guy
16:38is breathing now. See? He's hooked up to...
16:40Oh, hold that thought,
16:42buddy. We got something else going on over here.
16:44Well, certainly I couldn't have done this. I was with another
16:46patient. Don't worry, buddy. I gotcha.
16:48Great stabilizer.
16:50See? All the way better now. I might have
16:52made the problem, but at least I solved it right.
16:54Anyway, how are you doing? Uh...
16:56Oh, I forgot to put the diagnostic stuff
16:58on him. We're never gonna know until we do that.
17:00The patient
17:02has no pulse. Well, that's awkward.
17:04Well, at least you'll never leave me, right?
17:06Hello? Ah, fiddlesticks were two
17:08for two. Welp, in a weird kind of way,
17:10this was a success story. Mostly because
17:12we're still gainfully employed, despite
17:14having never once saved a patient.
17:16I wanna thank DC Dark Legion again
17:18for sponsoring this video. You can check out the game
17:20yourself using my link in the description.
17:22So I hope you had fun. I know I did.
17:24And I'll see you next time.
