00:22that Mr. Duterte is criminally responsible pursuant to Article 25.3A of the Rome Statute
00:32as an alleged indirect co-perpetrator for the crime against humanity.
00:38His former executive secretary, Salvador Medialdea, acted as his lawyer.
00:43Two days ago, the whole world has witnessed the degrading fashion in which a former president
00:51of a sovereign country was bundled into a private aircraft and summarily transported
00:58to The Hague.
00:59It was a pure and simple kidnapping.
01:02My client was denied all access to the legal recourse, and this all in the nature of political

01:12Meantime, the ICC had to clarify on Thursday, March 13, Duterte is in fact in their detention
01:18center after his lawyer claimed he was not there.
01:22Salvador Medialdea said in an interview outside the detention center, quote, We are told that
01:27there is no President Duterte at this facility.
01:29We are at a loss at this time.
01:31ICC spokesperson Fadi El Abdala says, Duterte is under ICC custody at the ICC detention
01:37center in Scheveningen.
01:39He was admitted today following all medical checks.
01:42The Philippine Embassy in the Netherlands says Duterte informed Philippine officials
01:46in a call that he has received medical care and is generally fine.
