00:00The Department of Agriculture made it clear that the LGUs of the NFA RISE can still sell during the election period

00:06as long as it follows the conditions of the Commission on Elections.

00:14The Department of Agriculture made it clear in the Memorandum of the Commission on Elections

00:19about the sale of the NFA RISE during the 45-day election campaign period from March 28 to May 11.

00:26The Commission on Elections will not prohibit the sale of the NFA to LGUs.

00:32But the Commission on Elections said that LGUs should not sell the NFA that is lower than the NFA that was sold to them.

00:44It means that the sale of the NFA should not be lower than P33 and it should not be given for free.

00:57It means that LGUs do not need to apply for an exemption from the Commission on Elections

01:01as long as it follows the conditions given by the Commission on Elections for the sale of the NFA RISE

01:06in accordance with the National Food Security Emergency on Rice.

01:10The Department of Agriculture also agreed with the Japan International Cooperation Agency, or JAICA,

01:15for a possible Php 11 billion project in the post-harvest facility for rice

01:20that will be supported by the National Food Authority and other partner rice cooperatives and associations.

01:25We are talking about a possible project, the post-harvest facility for rice,

01:34for dryers and rice mills that will support the National Food Authority and our cooperatives and associations.

01:43This can start in 2026 or 2027.

01:46In order to continue lowering the price of meat, the DA is implementing the maximum suggested retail price for pork.

01:53The reaction of the sellers and buyers in the market is positive.

01:57It will be a big help for us.

01:59Even for the small farmers who are able to buy even a little bit,

02:03the sale will be better.

02:06We will just adjust the price we will buy.

02:09Depending on the price, we will just adjust the price we will buy.

02:13Even though the supermarkets are selling pork MSRP,

02:16the DA is already coordinating with the supermarkets to lower the price of pork.
