00:00An F-A-50 fighter jet that crashed is being investigated.

00:05The recovered flight data recorder is also with it.

00:08Meanwhile, the unilateral and gunnery exercise of the Philippine Navy in the West Philippine Sea

00:14was a success.

00:27the flight data recorder that was recovered from the crashed F-A-50

00:32in Mt. Kalatungan, Bukidnon.

00:34According to the Philippine Air Force,

00:37this is for the extraction of data

00:41that will be sent to the manufacturer in South Korea

00:45where the F-A-50 was purchased.

00:47For now, the investigation team is going down from the crash site.

00:52The detonation in the area where the F-A-50 crashed was also completed

00:56and it carried ammunitions

00:58to ensure the safety around the crash site.

01:01The two pilots who were on the way were continuously given ammunition.

01:05They were First Lieutenant A.J. Datulya and Major Jude Salangoy

01:09where a vigil will be held tonight

01:12before they were brought to their respective provinces.

01:15The 11th F-A-50 of PAF is still grounded

01:19while the investigation continues.

01:23Right now, we don't have a timeline for it

01:26but as soon as we can have it done

01:29so that we can get at the bottom of it, of what happened,

01:32then we're going to carry it out as soon as we can.

01:40While talking about the West Philippine Sea,

01:44the Philippine Navy's unilateral and gunnery exercise was successful

01:48yesterday in the vicinity of Bajo de Masinlo.

01:52The Guided Missile Frigate, BRP Jose Rizal,

01:56Offshore Patrol Vessel, BRP Ramon Alcaraz,

01:59and Landing Dock Ship, BRP Tarlac, were deployed here.

02:02As for the live fire drills,

02:06maneuvering and communication drills,

02:08no Chinese ship was monitored in the vicinity of the exercise.

02:14The Navy is prepared to conduct surface warfare operations

02:18under any conditions.

02:20And I am very glad to report

02:24that both PS-16 and FF-150,

02:26despite the very harsh conditions yesterday,

02:29were able to hit the target.

02:31This does not send any particular message to anybody.

02:34We are focused on ensuring the operational readiness of all our assets

02:39and our ability to conduct unilateral, joint, and combined exercises with everybody.

02:49Meanwhile, last February,

02:51the PLA Navy's 11 ships and the China Coast Guard

02:55were monitored in Bajo de Masinlo and Ayungin Shoal.

02:58The Philippine Navy's Maritime Patrol and Aerial Surveillance Flight

03:03is regular in the West Philippine Sea.

03:06The Navy has a regular patrol plan,

03:09and we keep challenging them.

03:11Each time we monitor a warship,

03:13not only in Ayungin Shoal, but even all over the West Philippine Sea.

03:19Angelic, once again, the Armed Forces of the Philippines

03:22have denied the illegal stay of Chinese ships

03:27in the exclusive economic zone of the Philippines.
