00:00The country's income from tourism this year is more than what it was before the pandemic.
00:06According to Malacanang, the country's income reached more than Php 65 billion from tourism last January.
00:14This is more than Php 43 billion that was calculated in the same month, 2019, before the pandemic.
00:22One of the things that Malacanang has helped in tourism is peace and order in the country.
00:30The services of the Bureau of Immigration are faster and more accessible.
00:36And only last December, the VAT Refund for Non-Residents Tourist Act was passed.
00:42It allows foreign tourists to claim a 12% value-added tax refund
00:49for local products purchased here in the country worth Php 3,000 per transaction.
