00:00These guys made their own custom chess set and it looks amazing but let's see
00:04how they make it first. Okay so now we're making the base it looks like of the
00:09chess set. We're putting some leather and some glue. Interesting choice of using
00:15leather. Pretty nice, pretty durable. Guys have you ever thought about like a cool
00:22custom chess set or ever seen one? If so, put a picture down below. Okay this is an
00:30interesting shape we're cutting out here.
00:42All right so it looks like we're making some kind of leather surface for the
00:49chess set. Even but maybe it doesn't matter. They're gonna cut it anyway so it
00:56doesn't matter. Protection cream.
01:09Okay so now we, oh it's a tablet! Very interesting. Now this, okay so it's mini
01:17chess. I was wondering where the chess was gonna come in. So as you're swiping
01:22on your tablet you can flip it around and play chess with your friends or
01:27checkers because it's the same stuff.
01:32Epoxy resin. Pretty cool. So once we have our cubes we're taking our glue gun and
01:44sticking them onto a big surface. Now we're going to pour epoxy inside
01:51because this is 5-Minute Crafts and it is their main building material. After we
01:56grind that down I assume we're going to polish it. Yeah, varnish and then. It's a
02:03pretty cool color set. All right once we add some PVA glue to these bad boys
02:12we're gonna stick them together for the base. That's a huge base for chess, just
02:15saying.
02:24All right so some oil to make the wood darker. Once we have our dark wood we're
02:31going to take some LEDs and put them on the chess set. That's actually really
02:35nice. A good idea. Let's see how they actually execute it though because
02:39sometimes something sounds like a good idea and ends up being not great. Yeah
02:46it's pretty cool. A little funky.
02:52It's like a disco chess set. It'd be nice if the black ones as well were like just
03:00dark see-through, dark translucent stuff so you could actually like see the
03:05lights flashing through all of them. But it's cool.
