She was carrying over 30 pounds of matting on her body! We talked to Alli about how long it took to groom Sprout, and how she loves to steal socks and sleep with them on the couch now ❤️

00:00Brat was found in the middle of an intersection.
00:04She helped herself up into the police vehicle when it arrived.
00:09Her condition was by far the worst case of matting that we've seen.
00:14She just looked so uncomfortable.
00:17She was just walking inches at a time. We just kept trying to reassure her that things were gonna get better from here.
00:23Her face, right on her snout, was really the only place that wasn't covered in mats.
00:31Thankfully, we were able to sedate her for her groom to make it as comfortable as possible for her.
00:38The grooming took several hours. They just had to be very, very careful to not cut any part of her body.
00:45They had to just go very slowly, and in total it was more than 30 pounds.

01:00So, thankfully, we had a foster right away for her.
01:05It was dicey at first, only because she didn't know how to do stairs.
01:11Her personality started to emerge. I think each day she started to warm up more and become more playful.

01:24She started to steal socks. Her new favorite thing is to take a sock and cuddle with it on the couch.

01:43Going back to day one, we wouldn't have thought that she would be in this spot today.
