00:00Independent preacher Zamri Vinodh last night insisted that a social media post about Hindus,
00:07which sparked calls for his arrest, had never insulted the community.
00:13In a Facebook post, Zamri said he had only stated facts and the truth.
00:18He said no court has ruled that he has insulted anyone, nor has any court order been issued
00:24to remove his posts.
00:26He said he follows the rule of law, not the demands of Jalutung MP RS Senrayor.
00:32The DAP man had called for Zamri's arrest after the controversial post, which was apparently
00:37removed by Facebook, subsequently reappeared.
00:41In his post, Zamri said that many Hindus themselves had described those performing the Kabaddi
00:46ritual during Taipusam as being possessed and drunk on toddy.
00:51His remarks followed the controversy surrounding three Aera FM radio hosts who were widely
00:56criticized for mocking the same ritual.
