Police said a driver of a car that ran a red light on Jalan Persiaran Senawang 1, resulting in the death of two teenagers on March 6, was found to be driving without a licence.

00:00Seremban OCPD Assistant Commissioner Mohamad Hatta Chedin said the car driver who was involved
00:08in a fatal road accident in Senawang on Thursday was found to be driving without a licence.
00:14Sinar Harian reported Mohamad Hatta as saying that the driver is 18 years old and not 15,
00:20as claimed on social media.
00:22He said police are still conducting further investigation into the case.
00:27He said they had yet to record a statement from the driver, who was still receiving treatment
00:32at the hospital.
00:33He said the case is being investigated under Section 41, Subsection 1 of the Road Transport
00:40Act, including the offence of driving without a licence.
00:44During the 8.30pm incident on Thursday, two teenagers were killed after the motorcycle
00:49they were riding was hit by the car driven by the 18-year-old, travelling from Senawang
00:55towards Paroy.
00:56The car allegedly failed to stop at a red-light junction along Jalan Persiaran, Senawang 1.
01:02The victims identified as 15-year-old Mohamad Aidil Ramdan and 16-year-old Mohamad Aswari
01:08Lotpi died on the spot.
01:11The car driver and his passenger, as well as another motorcyclist and his pillion rider,
01:16sustained serious injuries, with the driver still in the intensive care unit.
01:22Public outrage has grown, particularly after the driver's sister shared on social media
01:27in an apparent defence of her brother.
