00:08We clean it, check if it's good or bad
00:11We make the siddhi
00:13We make 1000 rolls from here
00:18This one is done?
00:19Yes, it's done
00:20Music
00:26This is a very advanced machine
00:29It's imported from Europe
00:31Music
00:37We have about 1500 people working here
00:42And 25% of them are women
00:45Music
01:00That is because today we are at a manufacturing unit
01:04Which is owned by a female entrepreneur
01:07Yes, you heard it right
01:09I know the number of female entrepreneurs
01:11That too who are running SME or MSME
01:14Are even less accountable in this country
01:17But today we have one of them
01:20Who is inspiring a major mass in this segment
01:23Let's welcome Manjula Mishra ji
01:27Who is the director of HoloSafe Security Labels
01:32Manjula ji, welcome
01:34Thank you so much
01:35So Manjula ji, tell us about your journey
01:38From Bihar to West Bengal
01:40To this huge industrial unit
01:43My roots are in Bihar
01:45And I was born and brought up in West Bengal
01:47And when I moved to Delhi for employment
01:51Initially
01:53So I worked for around 6 years
01:56In a Gujarat based chemical company
01:59And I was there
02:01North India
02:02I was handling the branch office
02:04The complete North India operations
02:07Everything
02:08From sales to
02:11Total operations of the North India office
02:14I was handling
02:15So unknowingly that gave me an experience
02:18And when I look back
02:20That taught me how to be an entrepreneur
02:22Because I was handling A to Z of everything
02:24From administration
02:26Everything
02:27If somebody was coming
02:28I was handling their licenses of the company
02:30So going to export
02:32I was handling everything
02:34So entrepreneurship is about
02:36A to Z
02:37You are doing everything on your own
02:39Didn't you feel
02:41Like a normal human
02:43Or a woman
02:44Or a male
02:45Anybody who wants to become a doctor
02:47Or an engineer
02:48Or do something else
02:49How did you
02:50How did this thought came in your mind
02:52To become an
02:54Entire unit
02:56I was an MBA by profession
02:59And always interested in the business circle
03:03But initially I did not think about
03:06Entrepreneurship
03:08Because when I started working
03:10Gradually the dream started building in me
03:13That I did not want to work for
03:16I wanted to create something of my own
03:18Have my own enterprise
03:20So that gradually came into me
03:22And then
03:24After my marriage
03:27My husband also
03:29He also shared this dream with me
03:31So we have set up this factory together
03:34And 2008
03:372006 we started operation
03:39Company was formed in 2008
03:41And since then we are working over here
03:43Great, great to hear this
03:44Before moving to more questions
03:46I would like you to show us your entire facility
03:49And tell us about your facility
03:51And some of your favourite machines
03:53So we are in
03:55Show us the machines
03:57I will just explain what we are doing
03:59So we are in the security, printing
04:01And brand protection
04:03So we do a lot of holograms
04:05This is the first vertical that we started
04:07Holography which is anti-counterfeit products
04:10So from there we diversified into
04:13Security printing
04:15So this division here is all security printing
04:18And this floor has all
04:20These are all roll cutting, side cutting machines
04:24So all these are
04:27All have various purposes
04:29And they are all into die cutting, roll cutting
04:31Side cutting, trimming
04:33All these kind of machines are here
04:35These are all very high advanced machines
04:39Where we have computer sensing
04:41And every defected label
04:43It stops and senses the defected label
04:45So we are
04:47Because we have done a lot of KPICs
04:49And high tech environment
04:53We have done a lot of
04:55Printing into high end machines
04:58So we are able to maintain our quality
05:00We are in the industry for our high quality
05:03You are giving employment
05:05Yes
05:07That is the most satisfactory aspect
05:09And personally as a woman
05:11We are talking about women's day
05:13And as a woman
05:15I am very happy to see this side
05:17The women
05:19Who are working in their facility
05:22I would like to know about this
05:24What is the number of females in your facility
05:28And how are you empowering women to do this
05:31We have around 150 people
05:34Who are working here
05:36And 25% of them are women
05:39Most of them work in packaging
05:45So they do all the packaging
05:48Some of them are very skilled
05:52They become machine operators
05:54Like this lady
05:56She is skilled enough
06:00So we are trying to upgrade her
06:04And we are upskilling her
06:08So how do you feel
06:11Tell us
06:13As a woman
06:15Is it hard or easy
06:17To manage such huge industrial plant
06:20Is it easy or hard
06:23Or is it manageable
06:26It is very difficult to run a manufacturing facility
06:31As a woman
06:33There are a lot of challenges
06:35As an employed woman
06:39There are a lot of difficulties
06:44But this is a male-dominated space
06:48And there are very few women
06:50So this space was very challenging
06:54But when you overcome those challenges
06:59Your journey becomes more satisfying
07:02Great, truly
07:03I said in the beginning
07:04We can count on our fingers
07:06How many entrepreneurs are working in our country
07:09That too if we are running a small or medium scale industry
07:13What is the role of your school and college
07:15In shaping you as an individual or as an entrepreneur
07:19Definitely
07:21I have completed my schooling in West Bengal
07:24And there is no doubt
07:26That the education in a good school or college
07:30Is very important
07:32In shaping the personality of an individual
07:36So my school, Loiro Convent
07:39I think it will be a very important role
07:42From the beginning
07:44To become independent
07:47In my entire class group
07:51There are very few of us who are not employed
07:55So I think this has been a very big role of the school
07:59From the beginning
08:01This has been the upbringing
08:03That you have to do something
08:05This has always been the passion
08:08As a female entrepreneur
08:10Give us a few insights
08:13Why the number of women is less in this sector
08:17Because this is an unknown territory
08:21Uncharted
08:22There are a lot of challenges
08:24That is why it becomes difficult for women
08:29Challenges can be different for different industries
08:33But still
08:35This 24x7
08:39On the job
08:41There is a lot of commitment
08:43In manufacturing
08:45The level of investment is very high
08:47Generally, women
08:49Are not able to invest so much
08:52So they prefer to go to the service sector
08:56Because the level of investment is low
08:58And then there are so many manufacturing plants
09:02Finances, marketing
09:05Workers
09:07It is very challenging to handle all this
09:10And on top of that
09:12There are a lot of regulations for the manufacturing unit
09:17So this is not an easy space
09:20For any individual
09:22It becomes even more difficult for women
09:24A woman manages this company
09:27She has seen a lot of women
09:29We will talk to another woman
09:31Her name is Priyanka
09:33Priyanka is the production supervisor
09:35Priyanka, what do you do?
09:37And how do you show the strength of women in this entire unit?
09:43What do you do?
09:45We supervise here
09:47For example, we get a job plan
09:50First we have to give this job to this machine
09:52So first we arrange the raw material according to the job
09:57Then we arrange which cylinder will run on the machine
10:02Then we give the job to the machine
10:05Then according to that
10:07We put the colour sequence
10:12Then the material that is written on the job card
10:15We apply that material
10:17How do you show your strength?
10:19In this male dominated society
10:22How many people do you manage?
10:24At least 20 people
10:2620 people
10:27Your boss manages 150 people
10:29You manage 20 people
10:32Don't worry about it
10:34How do you feel?
10:36How do you feel from inside?
10:38I feel very good
10:40Being a girl
10:42Handling boys
10:44And that too alone
10:46Who do you want to become in the future?
10:49Like your boss or move ahead of him?
10:51We all want to become like our boss
10:56Or move ahead of him
10:59Priyanka, it was nice talking to you
11:01Keep moving ahead
11:03Still you are making a mark in this segment
11:05And we are very proud of it
11:07That is a great satisfaction for me as well
11:10That's great
11:11We are at the last stage
11:14I would like you to give some suggestions to the young and influential women of this country
11:21If they want to make a mark in this field
11:24They have to establish themselves in this field
11:27Suggest some points for them
11:30I would say that
11:32Anyone who wants to enter entrepreneurship
11:36They should dream big
11:39They should plan their product properly
11:44What to make
11:46How to make it
11:47They should have technical know-how
11:50After doing all these things
11:53Persistence and hard work
11:56Determination
11:57If you keep doing all these things
11:59You will get success
12:00Some get success earlier, some later
12:02But when you move ahead with hard work and determination
12:05Overcome challenges
12:07Never stop learning
12:09I am still 50 plus
12:14But I still keep upgrading myself
12:18With new things
12:19I have AI knowledge
12:21I am trying to learn AI
12:23How AI can benefit our business
12:26So never stop learning
12:28You have to keep upgrading
12:30Keep upskilling
12:31That way I think success will come
12:36Now a last question from a woman
12:38How do you manage your house and facilities?
12:43Because it is the most difficult role for women
12:45To manage both the roles
12:48That way I think it becomes easy
12:52Because you are your own boss
12:54To manage both the areas
12:59It is in my hands to manage my time
13:02The flexibility I get
13:05I think it becomes easier rather than more difficult
13:08Don't stop it
13:10It is 24x7
13:13Wherever we are
13:14We have to pick up the client's phone
13:16We have to solve everything
13:18We are always on the phone
13:20But the flexibility we get
13:22We get it
13:24Then family support is very important
13:28Like we know a woman is never off duty
13:32Same as an entrepreneur is also never off duty
13:3624x7 clients call
13:38Managing the house
13:40Very nice to hear you
13:41It was nice talking to you
13:43Same here
13:44Thank you for talking to us
13:47I am Richa
13:48You are watching One India
