00:17After the third reading of the Senate and at the bicameral level,

00:21the Connected Filipino Bill, which will strengthen the connection to the internet in the whole country,

00:27especially in remote areas.

00:29This includes the removal of franchise requirements

00:34to increase the number of internet providers in the country.

00:37What this aims for is to open our market

00:42for data transmission providers, not TIPs.

00:48Meaning, the franchise is removed for data providers.

00:54But a group of telcos, who were not consulted and went through a lot,
