00:56Rabies is a virus that attacks the human brain and is transmitted through the bite of an infected animal.
01:06But it can also spread through the bite of a cat and other types of exposure to the animal's saliva.
01:13Most rabies cases are in people infected with rabies.
01:18But it can also be transmitted to infected cats,
01:21cats, wolves, cows, horses, goats, mules, and donkeys.
01:28According to the DOH, the initial symptoms of rabies in humans can be similar to a seizure.
01:34The bitten part can also be painful or not be able to cry or laugh.
01:39While the condition is getting worse, it can experience confusion,
01:43delirium, extreme nausea, weakening of muscles, or paralyzing the patient.
01:49It also includes fear of water, light, or wind.

01:57According to the WHO, it is usually 7 to 10 days after the initial symptoms.
