00:00This was the smartest timeout in NBA history. With just under 40 seconds left in the fourth
00:04quarter, Franz Wagner was posting up while the Orlando Magic was trailing by one point.
00:09But as Wembayama came over for help defense, Wagner had no choice but to quickly attempt a shot.
00:14It didn't go in and the two battled for the rebound. Wagner managed to secure the ball,
00:18but it looked like he was about to step out of bounds. But surprisingly,
00:21the referee gave the Orlando Magic a timeout. It turns out that Wagner,
00:25realizing that he was about to step out, called for a timeout the instant he grabbed the ball.
00:29And the ref, watching his feet closely, confirmed the timeout before he stepped out of bounds.
00:34Thanks to Wagner's quick thinking, the Orlando Magic was able to keep the possession,
00:37and Paulo Banqueiro sealed the game with a clutch game winner.
