We’re asking people around Cardiff for their thoughts on how to combat the issue of lower income families being forced to pay more in road tax because they can’t afford newer, greener cars.

00:10in a lower income bracket then green cars are pretty unavailable to you, so yeah, I
00:15mean they're decisions that are hard to make.
00:17I mean, I try to encourage people to buy them in the first place by offering them cheaper
00:22tax on it and that's their choice, right, you know, but it's not, I don't think it's
00:29working because you pay a lot more for an electric vehicle. I wouldn't like to have
00:34an electric vehicle, but we're going to get forced on it, aren't we, eventually.
00:39I think the compromise between older cars who are more pollutionated should be based
00:46in mileage somehow or other. I don't know how hard or easy that would be, but yes, I
00:54think a compromise should lie in mileage done.
