Hero cop takes down thug with knife

PC Morgan Younger managed to take Fitzgerald Carty, 66, to the ground and disarm and restrain him while calling for further assistance. Carty, who was trying to stab another man, admitted two offences at Woolwich Crown Court. He was sentenced to 30 months’ imprisonment for attempted grievous bodily harm with intent and six months’ jail, to run concurrently, for possession of a knife. CREDIT: METROPOLITAN POLICE
