Matsusaka . During the Edo period, this town flourished as a strategic point for the Kishu clan and produced numerous Ise merchants. The town was home to the castle guard who guarded Matsusaka Castle and the main residences of wealthy merchants who were successful in the Edo period. The town still breathes the life of warriors and merchants.
