00:07This truck came from Mindanao and will be sold to Metro Manila.

00:10Here is my exclusive report.

00:17Following the received tip that two contraband trucks will pass,

00:21a checkpoint was immediately set up and the PNP Highway Patrol Group and DNR officers

00:27in this part of Santa Cruz, Laguna, were alerted.

00:29There will be two trucks loaded with undocumented woods.

00:37When the back of the truck was blocked and inspected,

00:39the contraband truck, according to the HPG, suddenly appeared.

00:43The woods were from Mindanao and will be delivered to a furniture manufacturer in Metro Manila.

00:48But they cannot sell these woods to the market,

00:51according to the order of the DNR.

00:53They also do not have proper documentation.

00:57It is prohibited by our DNR.

00:59It is also recorded as critically endangered.

01:03Because of the large number of paroquians, there are those who are protesting.

01:06In the market value, it is P100 per board.

01:11So it is more expensive than the majority of the woods.

01:14Two drivers and two truck drivers were arrested.

01:17They have not been released yet.

01:18The people behind the contraband truck are being investigated by the police.
