00:10Yonhap News Agency reported that the incident occurred at 9.49 a.m. when five 50-meter concrete
00:16structures, which were being hoisted into place by a crane to support a highway bridge,
00:21collapsed one after another.
00:23Anseong Fire official Ko Kyung-mar confirmed that two Chinese nationals were among the
00:28fatalities, while another Chinese citizen was among the injured.
00:32Of the six injured, five were in critical condition.
00:36Ko stated that the workers were on the deck, installing it on the bridge, when it suddenly
00:41collapsed, causing them to fall from both sides.
00:45Acting President Choi Sung-mak ordered the mobilization of all available personnel and
00:49resources to rescue any missing individuals and enforce safety measures to prevent further
00:55incidents.
00:56The National Fire Agency has deployed three helicopters and nearly 150 officials for the
01:02search and rescue operation, while the Transport Ministry has dispatched a team to the scene.
