00:00According to TripAdvisor the best places to get a coffee in the city include the
00:05Crafty Egg, Starlings and the Crepe and Coffee Cabin. But where do locals like to
00:10get their coffee? There are a lot of coffee shops and I don't know if we need all of
00:15them. We need other eateries as well but coffee shops are okay and I try to go
00:21to the small rather than the chained one, the you know local sustainable one.
00:28Well we've got one big coffee house in Cottam Hill, absolutely delicious and
00:34it's kind of, it's putting my bar very up because the decaf. I'm gone totally
00:39decaf now because the caffeine doesn't work with me and I would say also the
00:46little tuk-tuk, James, the Italian coffee house, well it's a little truck. The price
00:54of coffee has significantly gone up due to the rising cost of living and
00:58inflation. The price of coffee beans themselves have jumped up with some
01:03beans costing an increase of a hundred and nine percent in 24 but how much are
01:08locals willing to spend on a coffee? It's been £3.70 and I'm just like no. So
01:14what I do, I tend to go for the Americano and a dash of milk on the side, asking
01:21for a dash of milk on the side which makes it £2.70 which is nice. I like the
01:26idea of under £3. Well yeah but I'd say £3.54 is a fair price for a cup of
01:34coffee. You know a lot of places are more expensive than that but everything's
01:39become more expensive. My husband has this saying, well you've got coffee at
01:45home but you know now and then like a day like that you'd like to. I don't
01:52think a cup of coffee should be more really than £3 but it is going up.
