00:00The former head of the barangay was caught in the CCTV
00:13that gives grocery items to people on the streets.
00:20Find out his story.
00:23Jomar grew up in a poor family.
00:26His mother is a manicurist and his father is a car wash boy.
00:42Because of the influence of his friends, he grew up to be a troublemaker.
00:48Even in trouble, Jomar is always present.
00:53When he was 15 years old, he was very naughty.
00:56I think he did all kinds of stupid things in our barangay.
01:02He always mentions his name when there's a problem.
01:06Because of his mischievousness and his friends.
01:09Because of the hardship of life, he sometimes got into fights and tried to steal.
01:17What made you do that?
01:20I was with my friends that time.
01:25It was a Sunday night.
01:27But we didn't want to do that.
01:32But when we got together, we were already involved in a lot of cases.
01:40This is where Jomar's family started to get sick.
01:45We were in a squad.
01:47When I went out, my friends were with me.
01:54I didn't study anymore.
01:57I studied until I learned how to ride a motorcycle.
02:02Jomar's image is negative to others.
02:05He grew up in a poor family.
02:07Even though Jomar's image is negative to others,
02:10he still grew up caring for his fellowmen.
02:15He learned this from his own experience.
02:20I didn't become a madam.
02:22I experienced it when I became a madam.
02:24It hurts.
02:25I was hungry that day and no one gave me anything.
02:28It hurts so much.
02:30To meet his needs, Jomar went to different jobs.
02:34He rode a jeep,
02:37rode a donkey,
02:39and even rode a horse.
02:41I didn't show it to my friends because they know me as a naughty boy.
02:46But depends, I also ride a horse.
02:48But do you believe that despite everything,
02:52the wind changed Jomar's mind.
02:55When Jomar got married and gave birth to Jomira's child in May 2019,
03:01he changed his perspective on life.
03:05What changed your life?
03:08Was it being a father?
03:10Or your mercy to your parents?
03:13Both, ma'am.
03:15Because I feel like my parents are getting old.
03:19They are still working.
03:21And I feel like, ma'am,
03:23I have a child and I still depend on them.
03:25I feel like I want to change the fact that
03:28every time I go to sleep,
03:30I hope my life will change.
03:34Aside from being a good example to his son,
03:37he also promised his son that he will give it his all.
03:42This is where he decided to start a small business.
03:47Because he loves accessories,
03:49this is also what he decided to sell.
03:53I went to church in Quiapo.
03:55Then, I saw the one billion that I earned until now.
04:00Until now, ma'am, still,
04:01I started in 2020 until now, ma'am.
04:04This is still my life, ma'am.
04:06It's only P900 for me, ma'am.
04:08I have a prayer with me.
04:10It will be a blessing if you wear this.
04:12It's not PPP, ma'am.
04:14It's only for me, ma'am.
04:16He saved money for his son.
04:19And his wife decided to go back to school.
04:24Everything is ready for Jomar to do for his family.
04:27But the blessings that he received
04:30are not only for his loved ones in life.
04:32He also helped others who are dreaming of starting a business.
04:36She taught me how to resell accessories.
04:39She helped me a lot as a reseller.
04:43First of all, I was able to pay my own tuition.
04:47I was able to buy my own uniform.
04:49And my needs in school.
04:52She helped me become a supplier in our place.
04:54I was able to buy my own motorcycle.
04:56I was able to provide for my family,
04:58especially for my son as a solo parent.
05:01That's why Jomar helped me a lot.
05:04Even for those who don't know him,
05:06he received a lot of blessings.
05:08Their captain was very surprised
05:10when he saw on CCTV
05:13that he was able to feed people on the streets.
05:17He earned a lot.
05:20There were a lot of kids.
05:21Not just one, two, or three.
05:23He was able to feed them everyday.
05:25He was able to feed the kids.
05:27The food was full.
05:29He was able to feed the kids even the elderly.
05:32He did that many times.
05:35He was a very good kid.
05:37He did not hesitate to help
05:40people who were in the same situation as him.
05:45Just like Ruena,
05:47who never gave up.
05:48She never forgot Jomar's presence
05:50when it came to grocery items.
05:53Ruena, I will give you rice again.
05:56Jomar, thank you.
05:58You are such a big help to us.
06:01And because of your help,
06:04this is the good news.
06:07This certificate of recognition
06:09is given to Mark Jomar Agbuya
