00:00Hi, greetings from Fratton Park where everyone's gone home for the night apart from a few people
00:05here to clean the stands and myself and I'm going home after this. So what can I say about
00:11today's result? Pompey 2-1. I was thinking it's a manner of the result and the players
00:16have to take so much credit for this as well over their performance because Pompey had
00:21three players go off injured in Atkinson, Swanson and Hadham. Omani was missing before
00:29the game as well through injury. They had to use all their subs to the point of in the
00:35final moments, well the last ten or so minutes, Hayden Matthews who was immense yet again,
00:42he collected injury, he could barely run and Pompey just had to throw him up front. They
00:47had no subs left to bring him on so he had to play up front. Marlon Pat dropped in defence
00:53and they really gutted out the end there. The subs made a huge impact as well, filling
00:58the holes that had popped up everywhere. Regan Paulders was praised as well for replacing
01:03Atkinson who came off in the 39th minute. And it's testament to the side, after the
01:08final whistle, we actually saw Hadham Matthews being helped off by two members of the Pompey
01:15staff. He couldn't leave the pitch, he couldn't be unaided, he had to be helped off. This
01:19is a lad who finished the game up front, trying to get involved, trying to get in the way,
01:25trying to hook the ball clear at one point as well, trying to head the ball. I think
01:29he epitomised everything good about Pompey today. They gutted out, they dug in, showed
01:34so much character, yet again injuries piling up. Shot on the scene, we've seen Callum
01:39Lang, we've seen two huge players, Atkinson's a concern, but Pompey shrugged it off and
01:44still won 2-1 today against a QPR who have been doing very well. 2-1 Pompey won, through
01:50Murphy who was immense, absolutely outstanding, Josh Murphy. What a player he's been proven.
01:56Free transfer as well, you can get them, can't you? Superb again. And his goal, he set up
02:03Richie for the second as well. So much love about Pompey today. It's just the guts and
02:08the character just sings out loud and clear. Both players today, absolutely immense, recognised
02:15by the fans, let's not forget as well. Cracking atmosphere at the end, Pompey dug in deep.
02:20And they still kept QPR at bay. QPR didn't have that many chances at all either. So it
02:24was a brilliant, brilliant performance from Pompey in that respect. Wasn't the greatest
02:28game, wasn't free-flowing, but who cares? So much to like about Pompey again. We'll
02:33see how the injuries turn out, but the time being, just enjoy the win, really. Pompey
02:37now nine points above the relegation zone with 12 matches to go. What a job John Massino
02:42and these players are doing at the moment. What a job, considering where they've been,
02:47considering this team got promoted this season, considering the budget, considering what
02:52they're competing against in this Championship, financially as well, established Championship
02:55players, and they're currently nine points clear of the relegation zone. Far from over,
03:01but what an outstanding result today. Well done, Pompey.
