00:00There are certain scenes where I prepare myself for the moment,
00:06especially the scene in season one where I kill Bapuxte,
00:11you know, Tiona's cousin.
00:13That was a scene, I've talked about it before,
00:17where, you know, Mo brings Plenty, who's in Yellowstone,
00:21who's also our consulting, you know,
00:23he's an indigenous Native American consultant.
00:26And there was a whole room full of indigenous Native American young women,
00:31and before the scene I kind of wanted to clear the air
00:35and talk about what we were about to do,
00:37because we're recreating history that truly happened.
00:40This is not fiction.
00:41Well, the work, 1923 is a work of fiction,
00:44but it's recreating history that truly happened,
00:47and I wanted to clear the air by sort of kind of asking forgiveness
00:51before we did the scene,
00:53and that really helped not only everyone to ease the tension,
00:58but myself, because I suddenly felt unbelievably emotional in those scenes,
01:03because you are recreating horror,
01:06and, you know, I've done it before as a vampire,
01:09but, you know, this is way more fictional.
01:12This is so realistic that it really,
01:15I got incredibly emotional and nervous,
01:20and it really helped me to tackle the character.
01:24And it's true, afterwards I was truly physically exhausted.
01:29I can pretty much take off the mask of the character and go home,
01:33but this one was very taxing.
01:36And there were moments, too, in season two,
01:38there are moments of incredible emotion,
01:42of terror, confrontation and terror
01:47that are very, very physically taxing and emotional.
01:50Season two was very, very physically taxing as well as emotionally taxing.
01:54And, yeah, you go home,
01:56but the wonderful thing as an actor is, you know,
02:00when I'm really happy with the work I've done,
02:03I go home emotionally empty but happy, you know,
02:09and actually proud of the work that I've done.
02:12So there are these two aspects that sort of, you know,
02:16inhabit in your brain.
02:18I mean, you know, never say never because no one ever dies.
02:21I mean, I don't know how many times I've died or died, you know.
02:26You never know.
02:28I mean, for the, you know, in the near present,
02:33nothing's been planned.
02:35But you, you know, as I said,
02:38you never know in these circumstances on that kind of a show.
02:42It would be fun.
02:43I mean, I remember starting there with, you know,
02:47that Metricourt hostage crisis,
02:50which became such a huge, huge thing.
02:53I had no idea it would be so big.
02:56You know, really, it was such a blessing then.
03:01So never know.
03:03I can't say, but you never know.
