The High Court was informed that a witness in Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) trial is missing.
During the RM2.28 billion trial in Putrajaya on Thursday, Najib’s lawyer, Wan Azwan Aiman Wan Fakhruddin, revealed that Brian Chia, a former partner at Wong & Partners, has been unreachable.

00:53Deputy Public Prosecutor Kamal Baharin Omar confirmed Chia was an offered witness and
00:58assured the prosecution's assistance in finding him.
01:02With no other witnesses available, the defense requested an adjournment until Friday, which
01:07the court granted.
01:08Najib was ordered to enter his defense on October 30 last year for four counts of abuse
01:14of power and 21 counts of money laundering involving 2.28 billion ringgit from One MDB
01:19funds.
