Deputy Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said that the government is strengthening coordination between agencies to respond more quickly and effectively to disasters.

He adds that command posts have been set up on location to improve coordination and state agencies will be equipped with rescue boats to enhance their disaster response capabilities.

00:00I would like to say that there are 12 questions from 12 members of parliament that have raised this issue.
00:15And I would like to say that, Alhamdulillah, I would like to thank the authorities of the state,
00:23the authorities of the state and the regions in all countries,
00:27who have provided a good cooperation, even though at the peak there are about 223,000 flood victims.
00:38When the East Sea flood occurred recently, it has been handled well.
00:48And if there are any assistance that has not yet reached the victims,
00:53we would like to inform that the assistance has been given to the state level,

01:03And any victims who have not yet received it, God willing, we will help in the near future.
01:08And for the damaged roads, the collapsed bridges and so on,
01:13both the GKR and the state authorities,
01:17as well as the Malaysian military corps with the use of the Bali Bridge,
01:23have been fully implemented.
01:25Because we have enough stock to implement it.
