00:00Here are the odds right now to be a number one seed in the NCAA
00:05tournament. Auburn, a very hefty, hefty favorite minus
00:0920,000. Donnie, I would be absolutely stunned if something
00:14happened down the tail end of this season for Auburn, SEC
00:18regular season, SEC tournament for the Tigers not to be on the
00:21one line or even in fact, the number one overall seed in the
00:25tournament. Duke, a hefty favorite. Alabama, a big
00:29favorite as well. Donnie, you see five teams with a minus 20
00:33price. Houston, not necessarily chalky, but I'll tell you this
00:37right now. The value on the board is in one spot. It's the
00:41Florida Gators playing like a one seed deserving of the one
00:45line and you don't have to lay a lot of money for it on Florida
00:49right now at minus 115. I'm interested to see too because
00:52you look at that graphic and you know, it's SEC heavy, which
00:55means heading down the stretch. These teams will play each
00:57other a lot and to the victor goes the spoils as we like to
01:00say, but you still then have to play them in conference play.
01:03If we do shift our odds down the board, Ben, you take a look
01:05at Iowa State getting over 10 to one currently at a 16 to one
01:08price say, well, that's interesting. Like a top 10 team.
01:11What do they have to do? They do play at Houston coming up,
01:14which is on February 22. If they can win that game, obviously
01:18that would be massive. But understand this, they're going
01:21to play Colorado who's bad. Oklahoma State on the road. Not
01:23that great. Arizona, who's a quality team, but where they got
01:26a bed at home and then BYU at home and then on the road in the
01:29octagon of doom at Kansas State. Then of course, they're going to
01:32have to play the big 12. But if there's a chance where those SEC
01:35teams just beat each other and play a little round Robin and
01:38you get an Iowa State victory on the road against Houston and
01:41then somehow maybe play for the big 12 championship, let's just
01:45say it's against Houston, lose that game. There's still a
01:47chance you can get that number one seed. I'm just looking at
01:49price points. If I had to bet on a number one, I actually think
01:52Houston at minus 110 makes a lot of sense to be on that one
01:55line because they're supposed to win that game on the 22nd
01:57going head to head with Iowa State, which would be a nice
01:59win on their marker as well. But if I'm looking just for that
02:02bigger price, give me Iowa State at this point.
02:06Yeah, listen, I don't mind the look DRS, but there's not a ton
02:10of quad one opportunities that remain for the Cyclones in this
02:14regular season stretch. I don't say ton. I mean, they're not
02:17playing a gauntlet where five of their final six games are all
02:20quad one spots as of right now, the road game at Houston, a home
02:25game against Arizona in barely barely barely the road test in
02:30the Little Apple against K State in the octagon of doom, Kansas
02:34State right now, 75th in the net, that would be your final
02:39line of a quad one road opportunity. I don't know how
02:44much this changes, unless to your point, one of those SEC
02:48teams really takes a slide down the homestretch of this regular
02:52season, or is ousted one and done in the SEC tournament. And
02:56you're right, they could, but I wonder how that works against
02:59them. If you are playing the best in the SEC, does it really
03:04hurt your resume, at least based on the metrics the committee
03:07uses to knock you off that one line based on what you have
03:11proven so far. Again, I think Florida is a really good bet in
03:16that market, if you can get it. But as we see there, five of
03:21those 10 best prices to be a one seed from the SEC. St. John's is
03:26an interesting one, Donnie 250 to one, the Johnny's on Saturday
03:30in that early bracket preview, checked in as the fourth and
03:34final four seed, that would be 16. Overall, that would be a
03:38very large rise to be on the one line come selection Sunday.
03:43No, you're right. And you look at the remaining games, too. We
03:45love that victory in the garden against Creighton. But then it's
03:48the Paul, it's UConn, it's Butler, it's Seton Hall, and
03:50then finally a top 22 in Marquette, as long as they can
03:53hold on and not lose any games over the next what week to week
03:55and a half at this point, then you head into the Big East
03:57tournament, it would be a long shot at that point. But hey,
03:59we've seen crazier things happen. You run the table, then
04:02run the table through the Big East, a couple of those teams
04:04struggle, the conversations do have to be had, which is fun to
04:07talk about it about a month out.
