00:00I was working in my office way back in 2003 and during the meeting I got a severe back pain
00:05and suddenly I was totally not keeping well and my staff they took me to the nearby clinic
00:11and I called my personal doctors out here and advised me to go for an ultrasound.
00:18And while the ultrasound results came I was also shocked that I have only one kidney.
00:23So in my whole of my life I never knew that I have been living with only one kidney.
00:28And the next day even doctor got a doubt and he said that Rajesh maybe ultrasound will be wrong.
00:34You should do a CT and in those days just CT was a new and I had to pay quite a big amount to do a CT and I went for it.
00:42So in the CT also it was confirmed that I was born with only one kidney and there was some enlargement in my kidney.
00:48And I was advising my doctor that Rajesh you better go and have a thorough checkup.
00:53Vellore Medical College is the best in India. You go meet this so and so doctor named as Dr. S.K.
01:00So I went and met this doctor and that was the time I was told that after the test and all my creatinine level was marginally high.
01:10It was around bit higher than the normal.
01:13So doctor said Rajesh you are lucky but in days to come you have to manage yourself well the diet and everything
01:21but you can definitely keep your kidneys healthy.
01:26But in due course it may slowly deteriorate and you will have some complications but you can manage it well medically.
01:32So taking his advice and I have been continuously visiting this doctor and currently he is moved to Narayana Pradhan in Bangalore.
01:39So for the last when you say 17 years or so I am with the same doctor as of today touchwood and taking his complete medical advice and doing all.
01:50So when I was having a conversation with the doctor in Vellore and we became very close friends.
01:55And the doctor said one day Rajesh I have this cousin relative of mine he is out of job maybe if you can recommend him for some job there.
02:05And I said yes why not and that is the day when I met Hanif along with his brother Iqbal.
02:11They both came and met me and I put Hanif in one of my friends company in Dubai.
02:18So Hanif was working in that company for almost 4 years then he left that company he joined another some e-commerce company also.
02:25And again he was out of job and in 2015 I started my own company and Hanif was also out of job at that time I told Hanif ok.
02:35Since you have been out of job since so many days or something you said Rajesh you come and join with us.
02:41So from 2015 onwards Hanif is with me till date.
02:46Actually my brother he is working here in Abu Dhabi at that time actually before he was working in India in Mysore Vijay bank.
02:55At that time he has little BP and giddiness but doctor they are saying they are continuing the BP.
03:04Then after sometime he came back to Abu Dhabi.
03:07Here he has the same problem so here they check here they diagnose him then they came to know that he has got only one kidney.
03:14And other kidney also is getting fully damaged.
03:17So doctor they said they have to change the kidney.
03:21So we have actually 6 brothers and by chance I got the same blood group.
03:30My second brother also he is here but his blood group is not matching.
03:39So I am actually working in India in Bombay.
03:42So we are brothers now so my blood group is matched now so I said I will donate him.
03:53Some relatives said that don't give because it is problem for you.
03:58I said no he is my brother I have to save him.
04:01So after sometime I came here and they arranged for the visit visa here.
04:08So 15 days I am here and actually our operation took place in 1986 in Mafraq hospital.
04:15The doctor said after 55 maybe you will get some problem.
04:19I said what?
04:20He said no nothing but you have to be careful because you don't lift heavy work.
04:29I said ok no problem.
04:30He said you can continue this one kidney it is ok.
04:34Actually there are two kidneys but one kidney is working for one guy is ok.
04:38So I said ok no problem.
04:39So I donated him and after 15 days I left back.
04:43They said you are perfect now go back.
04:46We should not ignore even a mildness of symptoms that is what I have to say.
04:50Because since I was diagnosed in the early stage I am still able to continue in that lifestyle.
04:55The most important part is the body weight.
04:58I am little bit overweight now but I have to control that body weight.
05:02Because the body weight is the key for the functioning of the kidney to the food that you have taken.
05:07Because at the same time you cannot take both protein foods at the same time.
05:12For example dal and chicken will not go together.
05:15In similar way I cannot take potassium rich food also like vegetables you have to avoid.
05:21Any green food also I have to avoid.
05:24So we have to balance your diet well in such a way.
05:27Never disregard any doctor's advice to take a test or a ultrasound.
05:32Always go for it.
05:33I will always suggest that.
05:34Because you never know where something is hidden in your body or not.
