00:00We're going live to Saudi Arabia, the Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov offers statements
00:08after a high-level meeting with U.S. representatives.
00:12What needs to be worked on before the presidents actually work out a date, a specific date
00:16for their summit?
00:17I can't help but asking immediately after this meeting.
00:23There were a lot of rumors referencing sources, most diplomatic sources, about the so-called
00:34three-stage plan that Russia and the United States agreed on.
00:42And another question.
00:43Before this meeting, the United States sent EU countries a questionnaire where they were
00:49asking about what EU countries can offer in terms of guarantees for Ukraine.
00:55And the question was asked about the possibility of sending a European contingent to Ukraine.
01:01How does Moscow do that?
01:04About a three-stage plan, I haven't seen the reports.
01:08But today, when going through the news this morning, I found a reference to a statement
01:16by foreign minister of Poland, Radek Sikorsky, statement somewhere in the margins of the
01:22Munich conference.
01:23He said he had met with Kit Kellogg, and Kellogg informed him about a certain settlement plan.
01:40Commenting on that plan, Sikorsky said he can't go into details.
01:46He said that the plan could be quite interesting, and I asked the people of Europe what this
01:53could be.
01:54And they told me it was fake.
01:57There was another question about a certain questionnaire sent to the European Union
02:05with a goal, as it says, better understanding of what the European Union is going to do
02:15and how the Americans can help there.
02:17But I mentioned that – I also said that potential deployment of any troops, any armed
02:29forces or peacekeeping forces after the settlement is settled or an agreement is reached, contingents,
02:42as this questioner said.
02:46The Americans would like to see what countries are ready to provide the troops.
02:52And today, at today's meeting, we explained and said that – we noted very well that President
03:02Trump, in several of his speeches, the first among Western leaders, had said many times
03:09that Ukraine into NATO is one of the main reasons of what is happening, that it's one
03:15of Biden's biggest mistakes.
03:18And had Trump been president back then, he wouldn't have let that happen.
03:24In this connection, we explained to our counterparts that President Putin had many times underscored
03:33that NATO expansion and Ukraine's entrance is a direct threat to the interests of the
03:41Russian Federation, a direct threat to our sovereignty.
03:45And for that reason, we say today, deployment of armed troops from NATO countries under
03:58any different flag, under an EU flag or under national flags, doesn't change anything.
04:04It's unacceptable to us.
04:06On the eve of the meeting, the armed forces of Ukraine attacked the Kropotkinskaya pumping
04:21on a gas pipeline, on an oil pipeline that carries American and European oil through
04:27Kazakhstan.
04:29Is this a sort of a black – is this of a sort of a sign to Trump or Zelensky about
04:35what the Kiev regime can do?
04:39And do you see any connection between the EU countries' statements?
04:46Do you see any connection with their claims of historical rights on Ukrainian land?
04:50As for this attack against the energy infrastructure of Kazakhstan, essentially, we can surmise
05:00all we want of what can be behind this order that someone in Kiev actually gave, but this
05:11only goes to show that this cannot consider like that, that this man, Zelensky, and his
05:17entire team has to be brought to the reason it had to be slapped.
05:21We were listening to statements of the Russian foreign minister, Sergey Lavrov, following
05:27the high-level meeting that was held between the U.S. and Russian delegations at the Saudi
05:31capital in Riyadh.
05:33The Russian foreign minister announced that both delegations agreed to re-establish contact
05:40between diplomatic delegations of Russia and the U.S. to continue moving forward in their
05:44diplomatic relations and have agreed to strengthen and recover the strained relations that have
05:48been over the past few years.
05:50Those are the latest information coming from Riyadh.
