00:00The Department of Health is closely monitoring the ongoing rise of dengue cases in the country.

00:05According to the agency, the Food and Drug Administration is also investigating a vaccine against dengue.

00:15At the old Sora Elementary School in Quezon City,

00:18students are being encouraged to wear long sleeves and long socks

00:22against the ongoing rise of dengue cases in the city.

00:26The mosquito's wings are a bit low.

00:38So that's what we're trying to avoid because that's usually where the child bites.

00:44They are also endorsing the use of mosquito repellent to be more safe.

00:49Parent volunteers are constantly cleaning around the school.

02:32they request that the search for a vaccine against dengue

02:36be done as soon as possible.

02:38WHO recommended that for highly endemic countries,

02:45like the Philippines,

02:47use effective methods.

02:51Vaccine is one of them.

02:53According to the DOH,

02:54the Food and Drug Administration is currently studying a vaccine.

02:58The DOH's advice is for everyone.
