00:00The value of luxury cars that were illegally brought into the country by the Bureau of Customs is millions of Pesos.

00:14The Bureau of Customs, Customs Intelligence and Investigation Service, and the Manila International Container Port discussed a warehouse in Makati City.

00:24Here, various kinds of smuggled high-end luxury cars, including an expensive motorcycle, worth more than 360 million Pesos, were brought in.

00:36We received information that there were smuggled, suspected smuggled that did not pay duties and taxes.

00:44And it was hidden or displayed here in Makati.

00:48We conducted surveillance and we validated that we saw supercars.

00:54The letter of authority, or LOA, asked the owner of the warehouse to investigate if the cars were legitimate and if they were sure that they were being paid.

01:05The owner of the warehouse was given 15 days to submit the proof of payment of the duties and taxes of the cars.

01:13But if they are found guilty, they may face the case of violation of Republic Act 10863 or the Customs Modernization and Tariff Act.

01:22The BOC will also recommend that they be issued a warrant of seizure and detention or WSD and that the cars will be towed and brought to the Bureau of Customs.

01:31If we find out that there are smuggled goods there, we will immediately act on it and validate it.

01:37And once we have inoperated the place, we will seize it or seize it by the Bureau of Customs.

01:45Some may remember that the BOC also entered the warehouse in Pasay and Paranaque City,

01:51where various smuggled luxury vehicles worth P1.4 billion were seized.
